I'm talking myself into Hardy. I though Liddell would've been a better pick there or even Keels or even McGowens.

Hardy only played 12 games with the ignite and that dropped his stock from #2 in the class to 30-40s. That's a pretty small sample size to think he he sucks. The ignite do not run NBA systems, its a lot of iso scoring and stat stuffing to try and get these players drafted high. Hardy did shoot 88 percent from the line last year which is normally a good indication that he has good-great shot mechanics.

One thing they mentioned on ESPN is Hardy shot 40 percent from 3 on spot ups.

Knicks trying so dang hard trying to load up on stuff we'd want for Brunson. Even drafting Keels lol.

Hardy was the 19th best player on the Mavs board. They got him at 37 trust your board and the Mavs did. Did not give up much and got a sliding player nothing wrong with that.

Good move, they wanted a player and they take him.

Well done Nico.

Still think we should buy another pick and get Kamagate. He has some talent.

It seems like a good pick at #37 on the face of it. He has talent on offense and can shoot. Kidd and the other coaches can help with his efficiency, defense, etc. Hopefully, he puts his head down and works hard to become a player who helps his team become a title winner, not just proving he's better than where he was drafted. Learning to play winning basketball must be the mindset he adopts.

That's true but I think he fell there from early 20s in the last week or so.

It's a good pick, before the G-League choice was the #2 player of the 2021 class. He has a lot of potential.

Low risk high reward. Nothing to lose.

Two 55 picks are nothing. It's like trading nothing for a 1st round talent. If you look at the number, 24 PPG is a lot better than many first round draftees. But then, I am puzzling on what's Nico is planning forward. It looks like Brunson is not certainly staying. And indeed, for similar players, I'd rather develop Josh Green into a playmaker. At least, you're sure Green can defend. But Hardy does struggle against quicker players. Again, I'd rather the Mavs pick a big like the LAC's 2nd. Even if it takes a year to develop in Europe, the Mavs does get back something. What can Hardy do in a stacked backcourt after all? This is not a good recipe developing players.

Dallas is resigning Brunson unless Brunson wants to leave. A 37th overall pick isn't changing that. That's like saying Golden State is gonna get rid of Draymond because they picked Patrick Baldwin Jr. Hardy is a high upside pick but he needs to develop and probably will play for the legends a bit.

Houston had a blinder of a draft. Jabari, Tari Eason and TyTy... they've filled so many holes in their roster with BPA at the spot they picked. Their roster has good balance and fit, just need their players to reach the expected potential IMO.

G: TyTy................. KPJ
G: Green............... Christopher
F: Eason............... Tate
F: Jabari................ Eason
C: Sengun............. Garuba

Ofc he will. He wojld be 10th guard on mavs roster. And our center rotation is wood and powell. And at pf it is kleber and bertans. If we had drafted on position it could have been a rotation player. Atleast this should kill the hopes for those wanting dragic

Yes, Pistons as well. Both could be back to playoff conversation very soon.

Marcus Bingham is signed for 10-day exhibit contract. Statistics-wise, this is the right kind of player on demand.

Almost 19.8 PPG, 13.4 RPG, 4.7 BPG per 40 mins on 56%-41%-74% shooting with 28 PER. That's amazing pick up overall. So the Mavs is targeting another Christian Wood in free agency.

The last time we have seen an undraft rookie with this kind of stats is DFS.

Hardy reminds me of Naismith with a NBA-ready body frame.
