You can't trot out one your one guard out there who can barely dribble like a center. People talk about his shooting like that is the biggest issue.

The Magic aren't concerned with winning next season. Suggs is starting no matter what.

If he's absolutely horrible after 30-40 games they might make an adjust, but he's starting early on for sure.

If we don't bring back Harris, Suggs will be the only above-average guard defender. Cole and Hampton pairing was one of the worst defensive combo I've ever seen. Kyrie torched them for 60 in 3-quarters and Bey had over 50 in the next game on perimeter jump shots.

They know everything, sports betting is biggest financial engin of sports. US betting market is projected to be worth around 11 billion dollars. And nba isn't only popular in USA.

According to some study
NEW YORK, Sept. 7, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- As per the findings of Zion Market Research study, sports betting industry gathered revenue about US$ 131.1 billion during 2020 and is slated to earn revenue of approximately US$ 179.3 billion during 2028. The sports betting market is projected to register highest gains of approximately 8.83% during 2021-2028.

So yea.... if there is "leak" where somebody goes from betting odds of +1000 to -600 in two days, it's safe to assume they have 99,9998% confirmed info what's going on. There is simply too much money on the line to not know or move odds blindfolded.

Absolutely there was a leak, and someone put some serious money on Paolo when he was 18-1. The FO then probably leaked to Woj that was the pick was Jabari to put out the fire, Woj goes and tweets that it's a done deal that Jabari goes #1, and the betting public goes and lays a bunch of money on Jabari.

The Magic probably cost Joe Schmoes a lot of coin trying to maintain their smoke screen.

Kind of gross, this is akin to insider trading, and if it was the stock market, the Magic would probably be in some hot water for leaking false information to maintain their mystery. Of course in the stock market insider trading is seldom looked at and the folks that made all the money on the Paolo bets probably wouldnt be looked at anyways.

We aren’t winning, sure. But you still have to be concerned about trying to put your young players in a position to succeed and develop. We can’t keep throwing out these sloppy rosters of young players that don’t fit with each other and expect guys to develop properly.
