IS there anyone in NBA winning with teammates like LArry Hughes, PAvlovic, Varejo, Gibson... including Jordan? Those players apart from Lebron are not enough to get a player like peak Klay Thomson in a trade. Your logic is completely absurd...

LEbron beating Detroit(the team who would beat LA) and playinb finals is a far better acommplishment than Durant winning two titles after joining 73-9 GSW.

look.. i appreciate the concern... but the heat organization will deal with irving.. we will teach him Heat culture, and in turn will end in a couple of ships for all. Kyrie is already a champ, but we will take him to the next level... just like we took lebron to the next level... Lebron was a career loser, til he came to miami, and we made him a champ. Its wat we do in south beach.

Kyrie hadn't made the playoffs until he rode LeBron's coattails, then thinking he was all that, left LeBron then apologized to LeBron while calling out his Boston teammates and then apologized again saying "I should have kept it in house." He then left for BKN whereupon he took multiple personal days off citing among other reasons, "I just don’t wanna play." Then there was the whole anti-vax & missing games thing which led to Harden demanding a trade, royally screwing Durant, his BFF, in the process.

Kyrie is a wrecking ball. Butler is super-intensive. demands team over individual and calls out BS. Unless "Heat culture" is a pill version of a lobotomy, I don't see a realistic scenario wherein Kyrie's personality changes and he turns into a team player.

Listen I respect Shams for the grind he had to do to come up. But dude ain't been hot in a minute. Woj was runn'in circles around him yesterday.

They've both sold out and have become pawns. Shams spews the agent/player narrative (especially Klutch), and Woj spews the team narratives. Yesterday was fairly comical. You had Woj spewing the player side early since the Nets were not engaging in the media posturing, then all of a sudden Woj's messaging completely pivoted. It's obvious the Nets front office had enough & started to provide their own spin.

Kyrie is the one that put Philly on his list. Everybody is still laughing at the thought of a Kyrie+Harden reunion. That being said, the Harris+Maxey package he floats is the most sensical package possible from any of the teams on Kyrie's wish list. Westbrook doesn't get it done. Lowry+Herro isn't worthwhile for the Nets.

At the end of the day, Kyrie is stuck. He wants a full, 5 year max, but has no market. He can take the 2 max years the Nets are offering, he can opt in to one year at a bit less than the max, and hope for a trade and extension (4 year limit) or hit FA again and hope for better luck next year.

I disagree that Kyrie's stuck. I think even if he takes a dump on Sean Marks' desk, the Lakers and Knicks will still try to sign him next year. So it's more of a question of if the Nets want anything back, what they want back, and how this all impacts their relationship with KD. If they're draconian with Kyrie, it might push KD out too as a depressed asset. This idea that NBA front offices have leverage in these situations has been debunked like ten years ago. Talented superstars almost never get traded for equal value, and the stink around it always becomes unbearable.
