i think he's staying in the draft, deadline already passed for final decision IIRC

He should have never tested. He was a fool for doing that and received horrible advice. Less is always more when you have a horrible season and you're a 5*. Some team could have thought he was still a stud and drafted him late in the first. I doubt he gets drafted

Or you could argue that this might be his only chance of getting drafted given his trajectory and he should grab it whilst he can.

I don’t get geeked over workouts in an empty gym, but watching him move around, he does move with the fluidity of a much smaller player. Hard to reconcile that with how utterly slow and unathletic he was though.

Apparently warriors docs have deemed his ankle still injured, so you can pretty much throw everything from the entire past year out the window with this kid including the combine.

^ I think the Warriors wanted to draft Jovic, he went one pick earlier.. didn't want to draft a center to crush Wiseman's confidence and just threw this pick and the ankle explanation at the wall to see if it sticks.. if his ankle is still an issue after not playing since Feb or so.. thats a HUGE issue and so why waste a FRP on him

Curry had ankle issues for like 2-3 years, so they probably have some confidence knowing how to fix it.

With how the Warriors are handling their draft bust Wiseman, explaining away bad performance as a result of "injury" seems to be their thing.

Before the season, just based on his physical profile and skill level, and before he chose to play at a small school so he could play for his father, and before the injuries, Baldwin was considered one of the top prospects in his class. #2 on ESPN. A true 5 star recruit. This could end up being huge for the Warriors down the road. Or, it could amount to nothing. He was certainly worth the pick to find out given their depth. He's a lottery ticket. Concerning his testing, watching his high school highlights he doesn't look like he's an insane athlete. He's more smooth and in control like a Melo. What set him apart was his legit 6'9" size, his handle, shot and passing. It's an interesting pick for sure.

Sure he played poorly at a mid-major, but he also put up some of the worst athletic testing numbers in the history of the Combine.

I kinda think he might have tanked the athletic testing thing because GS gave him a first round promise. Either that or his ankle was still ****.

Let’s be real though, GS wouldn’t have minutes for a rook anyway, so it’s better to get one that won’t complain about not getting minutes and just focusing on getting healthy. Seemed to work with Wiseman last year.

No way, he definitely wanted to get picked lower, make less money and play fewer minutes on purpose. Lightyears thinking.

I mean yea it’s possible that Myers purposely tanked the pick in order to build up Wiseman’s confidence.

Not sure what you're saying here. That he was ranked lower than Jovic? Perhaps, who knows. But obviously they had a big board and he was at the top of it by the time they had to make the pick, and that's why he was picked.

Are you serious, Evan? Braun would have been a very good pick...

Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.
