Blazers options with Eric Bledsoe
I believe the Blazers have until 7/10 to make a decision on him. His contract could hold value in the right trade situation. It's reasonable that he just gets cut, but he is the Blazers last salary matching piece.
Duncan Robinson - Heat need to clear his salary off the books. Yes, he got benched in the playoffs, but in the regular season he is a valuable piece. Probably looking for future draft capital from Heat.
Bledsoe + Louzada = Robinson + future 1st
Gordon Hayward - It's a lot of money, he's always hurt, I doubt ownership wants to pay it...but if he somehow manages to play 60 games a year, you could do a lot worse.
Bledsoe + Winslow + Louzada = Hayward
Just a couple options. What do you think the Blazers do with him?

Re: Blazers options with Eric Bledsoe
I would still love to make a move for Gordon but I dont think we take on that $$$.
Duncan is approaching Bertans level of unplayable on D in the PO's - I wouldnt take on that $$$ even w/ a FRP (And I dont think MIA is that desperate to save money they would move a FRP).

Re: Blazers options with Eric Bledsoe
There’s the question of is using Bledsoe’s salary in a trade better than cutting Bledsoe and using the MLE on another player.
I don’t think Portland will know that answer until teams figure out where they stand in free agency, ourselves included.
For example is Warren at the MLE + waiving Bledsoe better than Bledsoe + Winslow for Gordon? I’m not sure, and we have no idea if Warren would have interest in playing for us at the moment.

Won’t be surprised if the Blazers just take the cap savings for themselves so they can resign Simons and Nurk.

Re: Blazers options with Eric Bledsoe
Someone more cap knowledgeable than me would have to do the math, but I imagine Bledsoe's option won't be picked up (and possibly even stretched) in order to have the full MLE without going into the luxury tax.

I still think we get Thybulle. I think that trade out of #46 was to give us another future second to add to the deal. I'm also curious if Dort can still be had... Smart and GP3 really built value for me in his archtype..
Edit: I'm hearing that Didi is an Elite point of attack defender, and that he hit 44% on 3s. I didn't see an that much D when I watched him but if true maybe we don't look to move off him.

Kevin Durant would be pretty cool! Simons s+t, Bledsoe, rights to Sharpe should do the trick.

We cant really trade future FRPs and Dort for sure has FRP value. I think Thybulle has more of high SRP + future SRP value, but its arguable he also has FRP value. Not sure we have the assets to snag either.
FWIW, I think our FO would keep Keon over moving him for Thybulle - I am strongly sold that he was deliberately targeted in the LAC deal and the FO + Billups loves his potential as a Smart-archetype guard defender w/ high motor and a passable 3. Being cheap while Matisse is about to get paid doesnt hurt either.
Again, the shot development Keon showed last year was tremendous. Going from a 27% 3PT shooter from the college line on 0.5 of 1.7 per game to a (while in PDX) 35% 3PT shooter from the NBA line on 1.4 of 4.0 per game is a huge leap. Totally slept on by most fans IMO - it bodes tremendously well for him developing a J moving forward.
FT also went from 70% to 83%. Late to play BBall, plagued by injuries young and just now getting his feet wet and healthy - its the exact path a guy that you would expect for a guy that takes huge leaps as a shooter IMO.

Re: Blazers options with Eric Bledsoe
I just wouldn't its past Portland guarantee enough of Bledsoe's contract to keep for he's
not going to get his fully guaranteed $19 million but who knows what he's worth in
the open market. If the guy wants out, Portland will move him before 7/10 when his
contract become fully guaranteed.

Thybulle would be a good add into one of the smaller TPEs. Add a couple 2nds. I hear Cam Reddish as well, but not sure why they traded a 1st for him to later shed his salary for a 2nd or two. It's the Knicks though. Feel like Dort is more valuable as he can actually score. Not sure he would be happy with his role here either.

For Reddish, I think this is about Irving. I know the feeling is they're going for Brunson, but if Kyrie truly ends up on the market and the Knicks are listed as one of his preferred destinations, they'll do everything they can.

Re: Blazers options with Eric Bledsoe
If we can afford keeping Bledsoe for his EC, then once we'll sign Sharpe to a rookie deal, his expected 5.9M salary could be added to Bledsoe's 19.3M and others (Winslow, Keon, Little if he's not extended), to match nicely with many big-name contracts out there.

I can only see this happening for KD, that once-in-a-lifetime type opportunity.
Generally you dont sign a draft pick and then trade him - I would be floored if we signed Sharpe and moved him for someone like OG, we like the kid, only a wild chance (Again, like KD) will result in him not suiting up for Portland.

Re: Blazers options with Eric Bledsoe
Joe seems to be doing what he can to.split the difference between Ant and Dame.
Grant = Dame move
Sharpe = Ant move
Hart = Dame move
Keon = Ant move
A deal that sends out the Bledsoe contract for Hayward plus a pick feels like another one.
Hayward = Dame move
Future pick = Ant move
Feels like an opportunity he should jump on

Re: Blazers options with Eric Bledsoe
Joe does seem to be splitting the difference but the Dame moves can be undone without
too much effort.
The main move (Sharpe) will be here for the next five seasons and his trajectory really matches
Simons.
Portland needs Grant to be their guy to match up with the Paul George's in the western conference. If
he's not that guy and insists on being a scorer he might not get that $112 Million extension from
Portland. Hart has a non guaranteed, PO contract and could opt out after next season and we could
see a real move to the Simons time line by next summer if the team is back in the lottery and Dame
asks out.
