I'll break this down one more time...
We have Jameer Nelson at point. The best options for Miami at point are Jason Williams & Earl Watson. Jameer would destroy both.
They have Wade. We can maybe put up a fight with Peaches guarding him.
They have LeBron.....yeah. We lose that one pretty bad.
They have Bosh. Lewis has done a great job on Bosh in the past.
We have Dwight...they will have arguably the worst defense against Dwight in the entire league unless they can snatch up Shaq. Otherwise...it will be Dwight's easiest matchup in the entire league.
The matchup for us really is not THAT bad. Will we win? I have no f'in clue.
Bottom line though...we match up well and WILL CONTEND!!!
You keep talking about one-on-one matchups. When you have maybe the best three-man combination in the history of the NBA to spread the floor, matchups go out the window. As soon as Lewis steps in to block a driving Wade, he passes to Bosh for an open jumper. Bosh posts up against Dwight, kick out to Lebron, adjustment, no look pass to a streaking Wade for a layup. These are the kinds of plays that we should all get used to reading about.
You know I'm a Magic man, through and through Tar, but come on, man. You can't just close your eyes, click your heels three times and pretend everything's going to be okay. This is an absolutely terrifying trio that you absolutely cannot brush under the rug like this.
Bull****. You think that those 3 would actually pass the ball? And that play doesnt have anything to do with the other 2 guys on the floor. Thats just ballhogging and no ballhogging team has ever won an NBA Championship.
And what about Defense? You think that Lebron and Wade are actually willing to play defense? Chris Bosh is already the most overrated big man in the league. Lets say they face LA with a lineup of Blake-Kobe-Artest-Gasol-Bynum. You think that Bosh will actually guard Gasol or Bynum effectively? Wade and Lebron will scramble all over the place and have no chemistry whatsoever. Those 2 guys will both want to guard Steve Blake while Artest will hit an open 3.
What about the bench? What will they average? like about a combined 5 points and 5 rebounds on 5 minutes of play?
Every single championship team has a good bench and good role players. Derek Fisher, Bruce Bowen, Kendrick Perkins... The Detroit Pistons of 2004 were ALL role players.
