If Melo cared about the organization he played under, he would never have forced a trade to NY to play for Dolan and D'Antoni. He would have stayed with Ujiri and a perennial 50+ win team.

That's the thing, I don't think its a bad contract. Then again I believe in Melo and you don't...much like the majority of the board.

a bad deal is offering from the jump by a large margin over everyone else in any business. deal no matter who it is. And yeah for the record I dont believe melo is worth 129 mil on the court, and durability has always been my reason why. too much money for a player whose been injured every year they've been here, and way too inefficient to command such dollar when the lights are brightest.

He's a #1 if the goal isnt to win at the highest level.....#2 if it is.

We are the only team that thinks Melo is worth 129 mil with a bum shoulder and 30 years old, kind of says a lothuh? You can be a Melo fan all you want me I prefer to be a Knick fan and as a Knick fan I dont see anything about Melo that would make me believe he's worth that money, not his exits in the first round in Denver nor his here and after that Laker game where our playoffs were depending on it and he choked big just like he did against the Pacers in the pkayoffs abd them blamed his shoulder and then a week later went fishing for sharks with that same bum shoulder and the idiot takes a pic of it lol

I only reiterated my personal view...when YOU brought it up.

Your thoughts on the free market are not valid when there was in fact a team that offered the max that they were allowed to within the rules of the CBA. That is in fact helping set market value. You can't get around that...FACT!

Guys like Melo and LeBron didn't have the right influences and role models growing up. They're part of the entitlement generation. If Melo had Dirk or Duncan's leadership, IQ, and humility, nobody here would question giving him the max.
