Don't mind it TBH. Hard to say whether the other teams would go for it, especially Washington, who are suddenly in "win now" mode (even though we know they aren't going to actually win anything).

Personally I don't know if anyone gets a better deal than Washington, the trade nets them Monroe and (I calculated it a while ago but forget now) they enter 2014 summer with about 30 million in cap room. Obviously some of that goes to Monroe and if they can't keep him the deal sucks, but seeing that he played college ball in the area and they have a great young core...really shouldn't be a hard sell. Also Stuckey gives them the backup point guard they've wanted for the playoff run.

Downside for Detroit is they're stuck with Gordon and Smith's combined bad contracts for a while but it probably makes them a better team short-term with long-term upside in Porter and the 1st (I did just realize the Wiz gave up their 2014 1st for Gortat though so this pick would have to be a 2016).

in light of the news that the bucks are interested in eric gordon, here's a 3 team blockbuster: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=k25op2u

DET trades: monroe, stuckey, singler, datome
DET receives: antetokounmpo, anderson, mayo, withey

MIL trades: ilyasova, mayo, antetokounmpo
MIL receives: gordon, aminu, JASON smith

NO trades: gordon, anderson, aminu, smith, withey
NO receives: monroe, stuckey, singler, ilyasova, datome

milwaukee most likely says no, but i guess it's worth a shot to gauge just how interested they are in gordon/how badly they want out of some of their contracts. joe said it'd have to be a blockbuster hahahah i'm bored

Greek Freak is not going to be traded, let alone for that hot garbage of a package.

No way the Bucks trade Giannis short of a top 5 to top 10 player. He's like Drummond to them.

DET gets: Otto Porter, Eric Gordon, Jan Vesely, WAS 1st

WAS trades: Otto Porter, Nene, Jan Vesely
WAS gets: Greg Monroe, Charlie Villanueva, Rodney Stuckey, conditional 1st (lottery protected with diminishing protections)

NOR trades: Eric Gordon
NOR gets: Nene

I know we aren't trading Monroe so before you bash me on that, I came up with this before all the recent news...but I don't think it is terrible for any of the 3 teams. Pistons get a SF who went #3 who still has a ton of talent / potential, a SG/SF who can perform now, and a 1st round pick out of it. Wizards get Monroe to pair with Beal and Wall and open up a ton of cap space this summer to keep him and resign other key players (or try to get other free agents). And the Hornets, who may need more incentive, swap their bad contract for a player in a glut position on their team for a bad contract at a position of need.

We don't need to trade Monroe to get Gordon, we've gone over this 100 times.

What about a trade with OKC:

PJIII + Adams + Perkins + First round picks in 2014, 2015
for
Monroe + Stuckey + Datome

OKC goes for the championship, we get a solid big man off the bench. That lineup is primed for a tank.

Jennings / Bynum
KCP / Billups
Singler / PJIII - Jerebko
Smith / Harrelson - Charlie V
Drummond / Adams - Perkins

Or make it a three way deal with Washington:
Monroe+Datome to OKC
Stuckey to Washington
PJIII + Adams + Ariza + Perkins

Jennings / Bynum
KCP / Singler
Ariza / PJIII - Jerebko
Smith / Harrelson - Charlie V
Drummond / Adams - Perkins

Replace Antetokounmpo with Middleton, and I think Milwaukee would do that deal.

Do want Withey too. Wanted him with one of our second round picks this past draft (think he'd be more useful presently and in the long term than someone like Tony Mitchell), but he was already gone.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

i'd honestly be okay with that deal if we got 2 future 1sts from NO, or at least their 2015 1st. middleton's been absolutely lighting it up this year. no reason to think he can't keep expanding his game...

Trolls are troll are trolls.

Last season we were excited because of Drummond's rookie high PER, and production per 36. Which, outside of the blocks- the per 36 has held true in regards to points and rebounds.

The Greek Freak only gets about 8-10 points per game and shoots poorly.

Josh Smith & CV for Amare & Shumpert

Maybe the Knicks are feeling the pressure to put some talent around Melo and take a chance on Smoove.

Or Jennings & Smoove for Amare & Shump and then we go after Lowry in FA.

We need to pick up Ivan Johnson. He would be an upgrade over all the back-up 4's we have.

We need to make a trade. ASAP! Let's get Turner and Thad for Monroe. Milk the 6ers for whatever they got. Monroe and Noel will be a "beast front court." I think the 6ers would buy into that hype like little children. Do it Joe! You stupid ****ing dumb***!!
