He wouldn't play a minute so far this season because Doc doesn't think he's ready yet.

Bulls came back because they have a bunch of athletes that can run the floor and also speed up the pace(easy buckets).
Ball Movement 29 assists it's hard to crowd a player when the ball is zipping around getting guys open quality shots.
Long Athletes at every position especially the wings .(Patrick Williams ,Derozan, J.Green, Derek Jones Jr.) Its harder to shoot over these players compared to the sixers wings which is what the J's did to the sixers all game.
Bulls have the length and athleticism to throw at the J's but they also have the J's and Marcus Smart working on the other end with Derozan , Lavine and the ball movement (Vucevic had 5 assists). With the Sixers the J's aren't exerting as much energy on the defensive end except the bigs because they have telegraphed passes to Joel and him forcing it equaling easy turnovers, Maxey @ 6ft easily contested by celtics size on the peremiter. Slow Tobias who neither J's have had any trouble defending.
The sixers have a matchup issue with the Celtics that they will need to address at (after they figure out how to win together first)some point if they plan to go deep in the playoffs.
-The Celtics have 3 defensive combo guards and J.Brown that can defend Harden or Maxey.
- Jayson Tatum would be the 2nd biggest player on the sixers and with his height advantage has no problem shooting over any of the sixers defenders.
-The celtics defense is developed to crowd the paint and turn Joel over. Embiid has been inconsistent with his decision making and the celtics eat off that every time.
-Maxey should have a speed advantage but still figuring it out.
-Tobias and Pj are both undersized slow PFs. The J's outclass them in the athleticism department and have the defensive chops to get under Tobias.
-Sixers wings off the Bench are either 1 dimensional or just not good enough to be on the floor for too long.
-Al Horford can not only defend Joel with help but can go out to the Peremiter to defend. Robert Williams makes its easier for Joel because quite have the Iq yet but he locks down the paint against the rest of the sixers.

But do you know why can’t Jojo step out and switch to one of the Js while Tucker or Tobias switch to Al Horford. This way we get a good challenge on offense, like what Warriors did in the finals?
I think in G1, there was a lot of miscommunications with the switching while Embiid still plays a lot of drop defense that lead to a lot of unchallenged jumpers
What worries me is Celts have long athletic wings while we have short and unathletic perimeter defenders that on transition it feels like that Jason Terry dunked by LeBron highlight
In my opinion, our championship hopes will lie with Harden scoring on ISO against someone like Al Horford or Portis and Embiid shooting over Marcus Smart or Jrue Holiday.

Embiid is capable of switching, but it's just too taxing on him to do it consistently, and honestly, drop coverage with your elite rim protector is generally a pretty effective strategy during the regular season. It stands out when you've got a guy killing you walking into midrange pull ups, but strategically having them take a large volume of those is usually a win. I do think it's good practice to hard hedge or switch every once in a while just to throw a different look out there though.

He's a jumpshot away from being a complete player and he just doesn't improve ever.

Green was making the whole play in fact he was the only one moving without the ball.
Weak screen into wanting the ball in the wrong spot definite low IQ moment there.
KPJ was eyeing Green through the whole action until Smith JR muffed it, made it look alot worse calling for it when he’s well covered. He’s a rookie he’ll learn. But the sad thing is that’s literally a school play that you learn lol.
DCasey91 wrote:What’s there to get? You said that’s what’s wrong with the league but that play is literally one of the first things you learn as a scheme lol. The play is obviously for Green to go into multiple options.
All Jabari had to do from the second phase (first action was squished through Smith’s fault) was to get closer to KPJ, for a screen/another action into pnr/pick and pop or drive from the ballhandler. It’s not concerning per say but this is basic stuff.

Whats wrong with the league is, everyone’s looking to score. So its hard to ask for a scorer to set a screen for another scorer.

You’re not serious are you? He’s 6”10 a big guy, heck even KD sets multiple screens for others a game.
