i guess you could be right. i feel like kp is a special case because of his freakish height, but you never know.

you also need assurance from kawhi that he won't just dash to a good team the summer after this one. it just seems like there's too many reasons for it not to happen.

I will make sure Kawhi goes nowhere.

Kanter matches salary, is expiring. Noah/Lee have 1 less year. No rebuilding team is dumb enough to pay THjr starter money :tooth

Except us...

I dunno. I remember when I said, that freaky injury means, Kawhi Leonard won't ever be the same again. Every one pounced and thought since he was returning to the line up that all was well but lookee here....

My worry with his injury is the fact, it's not just muscular damage but nerve damage.

Now, the Knicks have a tradition of signing/overpaying for damaged goods so I think Leonard would fit right in...but if there's a whiff that he's fine...Spurs WILL do whatever it takes to keep him, then take Porzingis in free agency.

Honestly, Pop doesn't seem like that guy. That's more Belicheckian. Pop is more of a "you are with us or not, we need the best stuff going forward." You have to figure the offers on the table would be packages like Tatum + Sac pick, Jackson + PHX pick. If Jackson and Doncic are on the table for Kawhi with a side dish of Dudley's EC.... hard to beat.

For us, the ONLY way we keep Kawhi is if we have a team around him. That means we keep KP. Spurs may ask for KP, Kanter, Frank, 2019, 2021 and 2020 swap. We obviously cannot do that. We basically NEED Kanter as a starting C now (because we killed Noah, discarded WHG). We did give ourselves a cushion for moving Frankie by obtaining Mudiay and developing Burke. If PHX, LAL, BOS decide to only include low-ball offers, we have a chance.

KP+Kawhi+good point guard = good franchise.

As soon as KP is healthy, Knicks need to move him ASAP for the best possible deal before he Bernard Kings his way out of the league. I've seen this script before.

No.
Kawhi and another elite guy = good franchise. Not a dude that plays great for one month out of an entire year like clockwork.

Don’t have weak memory. People questioned his all star selection watching this team and him look like pure boo boo from December on.

Melo is such a **** punk and a pussy. Glad he's off the knicks. I didn't think there'd be a team other than Cleveland and Houston I'd hate more than GSW. And I love george

If he really does come back as half the player he was, who would now be the best overall player in the NBA? It's been leonard the last 2 years

Meh, who cares? Not the knicks problem anymore. Same with shump and JR when they were shipped out.

not sure how someone can talk about being so happy that melo is gone yet cries about him almost every day like he's still on our team.
