Most likely which seems fair

Kyrie Irving ain't netting no three 1st round picks, that's freaking insane.
i think that poster was just joking. i mean there's no way that could be a serious post

Desperate? We’ve resisted the Wall rumors, the Hornets rumors, the Knicks rumors, etc…Pelinka made it clear they have no intention of giving up a first round pick in any of those garbage offers. Kryie is a different animal altogether, well worth the risk.
Then the Nets should simply hang up the phone. There's no point in taking on Westbrooke if the net result for them is the same as keeping Irving. The Lakers want Irving and don't want another wasted year with LeBron and AD? Great, Pay the kings ransom or go ahead and keep Westbrook.

2 FRPs seems pretty reasonable though, no?
One for Kyrie and a second for taking on Westbrook's craptastic contract.
If I'm the Nets I'd not open negotiations asking for anything less.

If the nets make that trade and give the lakers what they want they are the biggest joke of franchise moreso than the kings.

If this was any other team but the Lakers they would say an expiring contract, a first and getting off a bad contract for a player they don’t want is steal for the Nets. But it’s the Lakers so we see a bunch of dumb “the nets are letting the Lakers off the hook” or “I can’t believe the Nets are folding” comments. League execs don’t have the Lakers filling their head with hate like many of you do, they are just out to make a deal that is good for their team.

Why do some people keep mentioning Westbrook's contract as a bad thing? An expiring contract is never a bad contract. In terms of salary this is either a push or a win for Brooklyn, depending on if they include Curry or Harris, respectively.

This seems more like a desperate ploy by the media and those who run the league to orchestrate this trade and give lebron one last push for title and keep one of the most storied franchises relevant.

Westbrook is a bad basketball player at this point, making 47M, at the tail end of LeBron's career. Kyrie may be a hail mary, but he's pretty much their only shot at getting a player that's good enough to put them back into contention.
I get that the Nets don't have a ton of options here... But it's not like they'd actually want Russell Westbrook on the team. Without some decent compensation coming back they'd be better off paying Kyrie to stay home.

By the way I’m fairly certain this trade ends up being Harris and not Seth, and that THT may be included with that first and Westbrook.
