Just picked up my first pair, wowsers they’re a bit of a mind trick/headache inducing to wear at the start!

I have always had excellent vision, but presbyopia is starting to set in so I bought some 1.25 readers off the shelf. I don't NEED them, but I work on a computer all day and then look at my phone and read for another hour or two at night. It helps me avoid feeling fatigued and stave off headaches at the end of the day.

I’m on a computer screen all day, too- that’s what initially got me. I initially only needed a pretty modest script and didn’t need to wear them to drive etc. but it did make a massive difference towards the end of the day, clearly I’d been squinting/straining without realising it and getting the same fatigue and headaches. Such a huge relief.

Better to do it before kids because every kid is different, but dont hold back on international trips even with kids. My kid has been to Jordan, Mexico, Italy, Canada and Japan. You obviously have to move slower and miss stuff, but you can do some fun family trips.

I don't disagree. To be sure, we're really trying to get the more physically demanding, less "kid-friendly" things off of our bucket list before we stat a family. I can't imagine kids wanting to spend long days on their feet, exploring historic sites in the baking heat, or traveling in a packed SUV with a barely-working AC through a desert. Especially when they're younger and more dependent on their parents. Memorable trips, for sure, but not easy ones for youngins and not ones they'll especially appreciate. Save the big cities and resort trips for them, and maybe when they're older, we can try something more adventurous.

Holy ****, not many buzzer beaters in hockey. That was great.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Lose first two at home. Win next two on the road. And then...

Absolutely stupidly easy, delicious grilled chicken.

Juice of one lemon, 1/4 C tahini, 2 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp olive oil, salt and pepper. I added a healthy dose of red pepper for heat. Whisk til smooth, and reserve half for sauce. Add 2lb chicken, combine, and let sit while grill heats. I cooked over ~450, about 5-7 mins per side, then moved off-heat til cooked through. They're going to carmelize (the honey) so you want that to char and get crispy but not burn.

I served with some lemon cilantro rice and veggies, along with reserved sauce. Tomorrow will be pitas. Tender chicken, salt/fat/acid/heat all checked, like 10-15 min total prep absolute tops.

It's too bad they moved the PGA from August to May. I went twice, in 2010 and 2015, at Whistling Straits and it was fun (Links courses are a challenge for a spectator though). But the weather is too iffy in Kohler in mid may so they are out.

Most of it missed Sussex. Which I was kinda sad about. We had 20 minutes of heavy rain and some small lightning/thunder. I love big storms and at 3pm the radar showed we'd be clobbered for an hour from 6-7. Obviously don't want damage or anything, but I love a good storm in the spring.

Got heavy rain, a little thunder and lightning and some decent hail in Hartland.

Local here had us readying for a storm-of-the-year and it went North of us with barely a sprinke, just like last time. Insane winds for 2-3 hours though.

Softball sized hail up here. I got lucky because I worked from home yesterday and I missed the worst of it. But about five miles north of me where I work, the entire parking lot got pelted with large hail apparently.
