Sunsdeuce, you should really take a chill pill, watch our exciting prospects grow and enjoy the ride.
Lol. You know how many times I've heard let this team grow from fans over 30+ years? 1987, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2004. You know how many championships we have zero. The closest we came is when colangelo went all in and got a superstar.
So don't try and preach to me

Not sure why anyone wanted the 99 and 2000 teams to wait to grow, through arguably had Penny not been hurt, it very likely would have been a markedly different 00-01 season for Phoenix.
As for 2004....that team should have been allowed to grow.
We had:
JJ age 23
Marion 26
Stoudemire 22
Richardson 24
Barbosa 22
Hunter 23
Instead of keeping that core together we blew it up to add Kurt Thomas. Not exactly swinging for the fences. And we all know we should have re-signed JJ. If the Suns had played it right that offseason, they could have kept JJ, still signed Raja Bell and Eddie House, trade for James Jones and still have added Tim Thomas mid season. It's even possible that Diaw could have been had in a separate deal, Atlanta was looking to get rid of him.
Instead they tinkered for the sake of tinkering and while in hindsight, they needed KT because Amare went down, at the time (in my opinion) it wasn't the right move.
The point: rather than simply augment and add to the 04-05 team that was in the WCF, they shipped off two major pieces and didn't improve the team at all, because we were again, in the WCF. The biggest mistake in the Nash, STAT, Matrix years was that we didn't ever leave well enough alone.
