The Thunder are more likely to stay under the cap this year due to having to go 2 consecutive years w/o going over the luxury tax. Doing this will allow all repeater penalties to reset. Next year's cap is going to be around $112,414,000 and assuming the picks stay where they are(lotto gods are cruel so don't be surprised if OKC stays at 5th and Houston keeps the pick), the Thunder will be under $80M with their 1sts and 2nds if they all come at once. They'll have at least $30M minimum in cap space they can use at their disposal to either absorb bad salaries in order to move up in the draft or initiate other plays.
Isn’t it stay under the luxury tax to reset the luxury tax repeater tax ? Not staying under the cap ?
