There's pro's and cons about the remaining teams I could be playing for this year..#confused
At least he's still considering us?
You mean there is a chance?

Last year Douglas had a statistically significantly higher assist rate (21.5 to 17.5), he had a statistically significantly lower TO rate (7.8 to 10.6), and he has a statistically significantly higher rebounding rate (7.1 to 3.4).
And while there is some debate as to Douglas' defensive production, I think it a safe assumption that Douglas is the much better player on D.
Douglas also shot from a higher percentage than Crawford from three point range.
Crawford does two things demonstratively better than Douglas, he gets into the paint for more close-range shots (for a superior overall shooting %) and gets fouled more often.
Those are relevant, important skills, no doubt, but I don't think it offsets Douglas' superior production in all those other areas in the landslide some would have you believe.
There are metrics by which Douglas was the more overall productive player last season, and the good news is he's just a third year player who we know played through a shoulder injury last season.
Crawford is largely state of the art.

The reason that Jamal Crawford -- for all his other strengths and weaknesses -- is such a lightning rod with Knicks fans is that epitomizes the part of D'Antoni many fans hate, and he reminds all of us of a time that's better forgotten.
That said, if the price is right, of course you nab him. He's undeniably talented at a position of need. But of all the fan bases in the world, you can expect a lot of resistance from Knicks fans because a lot of people are fed up with moar threes, and nobody wants anything to do with the Isiah Thomas Dark Ages.

There's also been a slow drip of Jamal Crawford "news" for the last five days. Weird how this is becoming so drawn out when training camps have already started. Watch teams with a lot of returning players under contract do considerably better than teams with turnover, especially early in the season.
Philly, for example, is off and running with full practices, no distractions, and exactly the same core. Boston too.
The biggest thing about this Jamal Crawford situation for me is: SH*T OR GET OFF THE POT! Let's get a move on, already. Half-empty practices are no good.

Told report Jamal Crawford got a two-year offer for 10 mill from Indy is overstated.
If he's thinking about, we got 'em. It's like when you asked your parents if you could do something when you were a kid, if they even hesitated to think about it you knew they'd say yes. Craw loves the Knicks.

if crawford comes, can we still sign purp via vet's min? Not saying would he take it...but is it still technically poss?

God i hope you're right. I view him as the missing piece.

The way I see it is I don't care how productive a PG is as long as he can do what a PG is supposed to do which is run the offense and pressure the ball without reaching.

shawne wants a decision by tomorrow. i think if crawford is still undecided then we just move on. tomorrow should be the last day.
