you mean he did not have his legs the whole season

just seems hot and cold, like literally every other shooter we have on this roster. He was horrible in November, really turned it up in December, and has struggled in January (hopefully only due to the injury).

I don't know what we have to sacrifice to get a consistent 40% 3-point shooter here

It's probably Troy Daniels. But he offers little else but 3 point shooting.

Would need to trade the entire team (plus MJ) for Steph Curry. Curry is the only consistent 3-point shooter in the league AND he can create his own 3-point shot. But then, I don't think the Warriors would make that trade.

NBA is definitely moving to a league of shooting 3s all the time.

I'm talking about guys like Doug McDermott, Anthony Morrow, Omri Casspi, Langston Galloway, Jared Dudley.... guys you can count on to shoot and HIT on open threes.

Guy says Curry is the only consistent 3 point shooter in the league.

well hes right...there are far far more inconsistent 3 pt shooters than consistent ones. Kyle Korver last season was shooting 58% from the 3 for the month of January, and 50% for the entire year...this season he is shooting somewhere around 35%...a huge drop off for a 3pt shooter. There are very few volume 3pt shooters who maintain their performance season in and season out.. Curry happens to be one of those rare guys.

Also about lin not hitting open 3s, that is also something I noticed which was strange. Last year with the lakers and the years before with the rockets, it would be pretty rare to see him miss wide open 3s. This year though, it has become much more common for him I can only speculate the reason being that he is trying to break in his new shooting form and its causing him some problems

He missed open 3s with Houston and the Lakers too. The 3 point shot is a low percentage shot. I'd more like to see Lin up his assists than anything else. He has to figure out how not to shock his big men when he drives and last split-second passes to them. Either warn them on the sidelines so they'll be prepared or shoot it to them from a longer distance. Batum's passes to bigs are better because they seem more prepared to catch and convert them. I'd like to see him hit the 2 point, mid-range shots consistently. He has the moves to get separation to get the shot off so he needs to hit them because teams have learned to pack the paint against his drives as well as get in front of him to draw offensive fouls. He also needs to use his floater more. 3 points shots will fall some nights, other nights they won't. Even Curry and Thompson miss open 3s sometimes. Not that much, but sometimes.

For a second there, I thought that it's our former coach Mike Dunlap making that tweet. If anyone's wondering, he's actually on Twitter under @CoachMikeDunlap. Recently got retweeted on my time-line after tweeting that lay-ups on which you lay the ball up before starting the two steps without a dribble is an underrated skill. Mentioned Curry and Kemba as the best ones at this.

Lin simply has to play better. I know his ankle is messed up but. In the preseason he used his mid-range jumper a lot. He has to start shooting the ball mid-range, even if he's a volume scorer, rather than drive, drive, drive where he becomes mistake-prone. If the drive is there, take it. If the refs are calling fouls, then draw them. If they aren't, then whenever he gets space, stop and pop. That's it. His limiting his game to dribble/drive score or dish is taking away his own offensive weapons and making him predictable.

As a facilitator, do it more from different areas of the court, pass quicker. Several times Lin missed Kaminsky for a split second with his arms up on rolls. That used to be Lin's specialty, releasing that ball to the roller for an easy duece. He's not doing that now.

He probably needs to play less minutes but can't with Batum out. So, he needs to limit what he does on the court. He'll have to play D so he needs to take less effort setting guys up. Lin really isn't playing his best ball at all. We see glimpses of it, but it's getting to the point in the season where he has to pull it together, get through this injury, and start really contributing more offensively. Especially in the 4th quarters which used to be his best quarter 2 seasons ago.

I think he is being too passive playing it relativly safe so far expect for the last game..he went through a lot with rockets and lakers being thrown under the buss for misstakes. stuff like that follows you around like baggage.i think in due time he will start playing more freely but it depends on which team he lands on. may be charlotte may be some other team. So far this season he has been good but can be so much better.

I'm a Lin fan but man, the 2nd half of the last game was some cringeworthy stuff. He tried to drive but had no legs to get his first step past people (even forwards), and just kinda bounced off them like a pinball. There were also 3 or 4 ugly butter finger drives where he lost the ball and even flailed in the process. He may want to just stick with open mid-range jumpers until his ankle heals.

One of Jeremy's corporate sponsors TAG Heuer is the luxury Swiss watchmaker that has purchased courtside advertising in the TWC Arena, as well as raffled off watches at the Hornets season ticket holders dinner event when the season started, I think.

They cater to upscale affluent clientele, so Jeremy Lin with his Ivy League Harvard background is the only NBA player that they've signed for their luxury demographic. The other athletes they have under contract also have global followings (Maria Sharapova, Christian Rinaldo).

This month, they're launching another new designer watch in their Jeremy Lin collection. I guess the initial designer model sold well enough for them to invest more money in a newer luxury model in the Jeremy Lin line that they put out last year.

The previous model had yellow/gold coloring. Not sure if it's a reference to the Lakers purple and gold. But this new red one has no Hornets coloring, perhaps just in case he doesn't stay with the Hornets in the summer.

I didn't realize there were Asians in Phoenix.

I saw the TAG Heuer commercial with Jeremy Lin. it was quite a disappointment. Lin has a sense of humor and these companies (ie Volvo, Adidas) are not taking advantage of that. The Yao Ming commercials were the best.

Lin's scoring has been consistent but his efficiency has been up and down. His 3pt shooting has sstarted to stabilize aroudn 33% which sucks. I wonder how long his banged up ankle is gonna slow him down.

Man losing both Batum and Lin to injury is straight up killing this team.

It's not a watch. It's a "watch face" for the Tag Heuer android smart watch.

Oh, I see, so the two models are complements and not replacements. The gold one is the pricey analog and the red one is the digital Android smartwatch watch face.
