I'm surprised no one saw that he nearly snapped his leg vs the Hawks. I'm not surprised he didn't play tonight

Missed that game. He injured it in the Hawks game? Not sure IF that scenario is better or worse from a long term durability perspective honestly. I just hope it doesn't become a chronic or progressive issue. :-?
The meniscus is the padding in your knee, he had at least some of it removed in this surgery. He will have problems with knee soreness the rest of his career/life, it's just the nature of that injury. Now it's by no means a death sentence, Dwayne Wade played his whole career after having his meniscus removed in college. But he did have to manage his knee as he got older.

I still do not want any part of KD trade --too much probably

As for Bourquets other trades - I kind of agree about keeping the known Chris paul for the unknown Kyrie
That said - if CP3 were I guess on board with playing with Durant

CP3 and Crowder and maybe Shamet - especially if they want even protected FRP
for
Irving Curry and Kessler

I still like that trade of Crowder for Curry mentioned by ESPN a couple days ago

Honestly makes me wonder if this was known a little bit ago and that's why Nash was meeting with ishbia go get his input on Kyrie

Good point
And the thing is - truly do not want to disrespect Paul. A couple Nets fans on twitter like the idea of Durant with CP3. So I think if Paul were on board - I guess I would be amenable. I just don't want to dump him off unless he wants it

As Kyrie/Curry for CP3/Crowder/Payne - -pretty much expirings for expirings. I truly would not want to give up CamJ or Mikal thats for damn sure

So with the rumors of Suns being interested in Kyrie which probably means for Chris Paul and Crowder going to Brooklyn but if we instead do that deal but instead of taking Kyrie, get the two picks from the Lakers and Westbrook? I think those picks are very valuable and can get the star player that we’ve been searching for.

I don’t know if I can root for Kyrie.

No new owner does this.

Standing pat seems like most likely thing to happen.

Although I am intrigued by a Kyrie/Booker backcourt, as I've said here before.

I say you pull the trigger if you can keep our main guys, mostly to deny LA and Dallas.

CP3
Kyrie
Booker
Bridges
Ayton

would instantly be the best offense in the league.

I thought of this but didn’t want to bring it up as not sure
1) who plays PG
2) what are you getting

Could you use the two picks to get say FVV and Trent Jr ?

I don't want to root for Kyrie. I just don't. He doesn't move the needle for me and it would just seem like a desperate move. Of course, I am not Mr. Ishbia. Maybe he really likes Kyrie? I don't khow. Based on the things I have picked up about how he runs his mortgage business, I can't see him liking Kyrie's style.

I also think James Jones is on a very, very short leash right now.

kyrie is a headcase but he's also playing for another contract. Kyrie plays PG, that's no question. I don't know if there are many trades that make sense for both teams as much as CP3/Crowder/Shamet for Kyrie/Curry.

And as someone else mentioned, it's such a win keeping the mavs from getting Kyrie. The other way to look at it is Christian Wood and Kyrie are both headcases and both are likely to meltdown semi soon.

That team would also be the worst defensive and rebounding team in the league.

Anybody else want the flakers to trade for both Bamba and Rivers?

You send CP3 to the bench and sub him in for Book (moving Kyrie to SG, which is he kinda is anyways), starting Craig? Okogie gets more minutes because he has such a knack for rebounding, and Crowder hopefully gets traded for a real PF.

You make this move because you think CP3 can't handle what playoff defenses throw at him in late game situations (full-press). He's been getting WORN out, and I don't believe in his health. He's a coin-flip. And I think Jones / this owner is seriously considering getting Kyrie because he's one of the best closers in the game, and will actually PROLONG CP3's time here.

I’m kinda torn on Kyrie, while I don’t think he’s as bad of a guy as the media has made him out to be he’s definitely had some consistent red flags with each of his stops during his career. After finally shedding the dark cloud that was Sarver are we prepared to take on another potential problem child? Will Chris accept a bench role? Can Kyrie and Chris co-exist personality wise?

It’s a gamble.

Kyrie and Booker would be the best duo the NBA has seen this decade. Please make it happen!

Nets were caught by surprise after offering Kyrie a ridiculous contract?

There are more qualified people on RealGM than in the Nets FO.

Definitely worst rebounding team. Not balanced starting 5 at all.

I want to state though that I don't think the Suns will end up trading for Kyrie because he would likely cost CP3 in some fashion, either because he is being rerouted to a 3rd team (like the Lakers) or being sent to the Nets. I do think FVV will remain the Suns target because I think he is attainable without giving up core pieces in Booker, Bridges, Cam Johnson, and Ayton, likely Saric and Shamet and 2 1sts.

And then Suns will trade Crowder for Vanderbilt and Gay with Crowder being rerouted to a third team.
