cutting okogie isn't a money issue. its a roster limit issue. we still have to cut 3 more players.
use a better example of the cheapness. this isnt it.
2 vet mins + 4 rookie scale provide any hint to you about their spending habits?
This is hard for you?
you equate jeff continuing to build slowly through the draft with a mandate from the owners to be cheap. thats your guess, based on zero intel - yet you present this as a fact.
No one is arguing that having 4 rookies will ultimately lead to less money spent this year, but to say that it was a mandate from the owners is a leap.
I didn't agree with rostering 4 rookies this year and I didn't agree with the Mason signing. I don't believe either of those things was a mandate from the owners to be cheap.
The Jordan ownership was cheap. We have 15 years of evidence to support that fact. I'm not willing to say that these owners are cheap after only 18 months of rebuilding A **** **** roster - While Simultaneously investing money in all other parts of the business that were ignored for 15 years.
I don't care if you're in denial about the new owners being cheap. Half the roster is budget.
There's 1 big multiyear contract on the team - Melo. Not even a max or supermax. A rookie supermax.
1 mid with 2 years - Miles
Sexton - expiring
2 vet mins added
4 rookie scale added
2 existing rookie scale (Miller, Salaün)
NicRic dumped just prior to raise
Mark Williams dumped prior to raise
Moussa existing min
Tre Mann below MLE
Grant Williams below MLE
Josh Green below MLE
Do you look at this roster and forecast serious longterm or shorterm spending?
If so, you are not as good at basic math as I am at weaving narratives.
This is **** NOT HARD.
