Summer of 2017 is the setup move.

2018 is the kill shot.

That would be poetic justice in a way...... and hopefully a reason to get this clown fired.

I got a couple of bucks they're still chanting "Trust the process".

Must be from all those losing and add the fact of what the guidance counselor might have said to stevens.

So this offseason doesn't really matter as much, it's next years that really does. Sounds like every offseason since 2013.

That's a really poor way to look at it.

So people that care a lot about college records and the fact that these guys didn't get to the tournament can be confident that Philly will fill up the stat sheet but probably fall flat on their face at actually winning at anything for the next half a decade at least.

Then after they figure it out, we'll have the second coming of the Warriors dominating the NBA for 5-7 straight years...

But will everyone stay after filling up the stat sheet and losing, when they'll want maxes for showing their individual skills? Or will they be another OKC that falls apart?

Projecting that far out is hard, but I can say their immediate future is still full of losing.

Is it because he doesn't yell and scream after every basket? Him not being a winner thing is so stupid and pisses me off even more. I can understand he didn't look all that good or he has some serious knee problems ok but that??? What the **** look at his talent not his team

Fultz isn't a dirt dog. He's a "diva" superstar. Those are "Laker" players. Not Celtics. Red would have liked blue collared guys through and through. Lunch pail players. **** great...grit wins titles.

He gets this upcoming year because if he wasn't he wouldn't of been allowed to make that deal. Gets next year's due to blind loyalty and when fultz takes off and Jackson can't shoot ball he goes off into retirement.

I'll put it in my signature.

great, now 100% of your posts will be as dumb as all the ones you've been posting today.

So don't make the trade, draft the consensus best player and have him play for your team?

Because you know on your team he is back up and Jackson might be a starter.

That only matters if you think you can contend. Not seeing it....Celts reasons seems real dumb if it's not winning and overflow of guards.

That is such a sad misinformed take.

Jaylen Brown can shoot NBA 3s.
If we're taking Josh Jackson, it looks like he'll be able to as well.
If we're taking Lonzo, load 'em up!

In the meantime, we take competitive guys who want to win who help us win games. Could be worse.

Is this the part where we pretend Ainge doesn't have a history of drafting players with questionable shooting ability?

A lot of what ifs. So lets say the Lakers get the 6th pick next year, it doesn't convey. Kings pick is unprotected, but what if they don't suck and get the 8th or 9th pick. Pretty weak trade, so many moving parts and variables.

Stevens doesn't start rookies. Not long term anyway.

Well Ramona Shelbourne says this trade is happening early so that both teams will still maneuver. I'd be down with this offseason

Plus IT Horford, Zizic, Yabu.

Then land Hayward for Griffin in free agency.

LMAO @ THE HATERS

So what does a Butler deal look like, whichever they like least out of Brown/#3 plus Bradley?

I liked the Butler/Griffin/Hayward trio addition at the beginning of this thread but that might break the wallet/Zarren's brain. Even harder than the earlier ones we had cooked up lol.

Hayward better come here because otherwise how can Ainge justify saying we need shooting and.not addressing it

It's June 17.

There is plenty of time to address it. With many different players.

Why is this so hard?

Maybe I wasn't clear since you intend to use me as your outlet.

Jackson can't shoot.

No guarantee Hayward comes here.

Butler for everything that he is isn't a shooter.

After tonight I don't have trust in Ainge. Get over it bruh

Yeah, way too many question marks at this point and lots of reasons to be questioning Ainge.

The moment fultz hits all star level trade is a bust.

What is the risk? Most of the time these deals are about money or a useless future pick. Ainge just got a top 5 pick next year or an unrestricted Kings pick in '19. I get that because Ainge keeps doing this that Boston fans don't understand how rare these type of assets are but to get this from a lottery dwelling team is ridiculous.

Bottom line Fultz isn't Lebron James or Kevin Durant, what do you do? If you can double down.

Butler/Hayward/Griffin combos wouldn't win a title. Totally agree.

But that is not the endgame.

are we sure of that? Many people seem convinced we are moving these picks and Butler/PG13 are the guys likely on the market
