Ironically, by far the bigger problem HOU had against GSW last year was HOU's offense.
actually the biggest problem vs gsw were the refs and the health...i hope morey is signing foster and brothers under the table while cp3 is learning from harden how to stay healthy
It wasn't their biggest problem against GSW; it was just by far the bigger problem than their defense was against GSW. Of course, a lot of their problems on offense can be traced back to GSW could just foul them on every attempt without getting a call and all the injuries (I think Mbah a Moute shot like 13% from range against GSW in the playoffs in the few minutes and games he played and was a terrible -50).
You have to wonder, though, all the games where CP3 was out and HOU struggled to sustain their offense with just Harden/Gordon, in the regular season as well as the playoffs. If they had Melo, would that have made a significant difference? I think it would have. HOU offense can struggle pretty mightily without two of Harden/CP3/Gordon on the floor at the same time. With Melo joining, the 3-man rotation of Harden/Melo/Gordon or CP3/Melo/Gordon when one of Harden/CP3 is in street clothes would certainly cut down on their signature dry spells where they just couldn't score a lick for 9 minutes straight.
People are so focused on Melo's weaknesses that they forget that Melo still has some skills which aren't easy to find, like creating his own shot, especially when given a whole lot of spacing, and at vet min.
