thibs frustrates me so much in these games...the end of the bench could have lost the 4th qtr by 15.
When the starters have checked out mentally take them out.
Its absolute stupidity at this point and may cost us AGAIN in the long run.
After playing only two back-to-backs in their first 30 games, the Knicks will play 12 in their remaining 52.
Counting both ends, practically half the Knicks' post-Christmas schedule will involve back-to-back games.
All 3 remaining games with Cleveland will involve playing the Cavs on the back end of a back-to-back.
I keep coming back to we are a top 3 team because of the extra 3-5 MPG Thibs plays his top guys.
If he played those guys less, it would cost the teams win, and likely a top 3 slot.
But by playing those guys more, they are gassed come playoff time.
We have a regular season team built for a regular season coach.
The first few games you could see the team chemistry was bigtime in flux. Night and day right now and they are not even entirely gelled quite yet.
So first few games there was more a reason to play starters longer...Now and probably last 15 games or so? Absolutely not.
