This year, two of those three are false.

- Shai beating Jokic 3 times. NIKOLA MVP!
- Denver goes 11-2 after the all star break. NIKOLA MVP!! Dallas goes 10-1, the only loss to OKC without Luka. MEH...
- Dallas having far more injuries than any other MVP candidate... Poor poor Nikola, had to play without Murray. Luka BALL HOG, doesnt want to pass to his GLeague teammates.
- Look at the standings! the Mavs are a 6th seed, the NUGGETS ARE 3RD!!!! NIKOLA GOAT!
- Jokic plays 2 games with a small wrist injury, Nuggets lost - poor Nikola, he's a true warrior and that's why deserves MVP. Luka plays with achilles soreness, clearly banged up and limping on the court, won both 2 games on the road - LUKA BUM has dropped off, can't even walk normal.
Also the Mavs finally have a lineup that played more than 100 minutes this year. Doncic-Irving-Derrick Jones Jr-PJ Washington-Gafford have played 112 minutes together and have a net rating of 22.6, and a 97,5 defensive rating, pretty good if you ask me. For comparison, the Nuggets starting five is at 895 min, the OKC starting five 770.
If you ask me lineup consistency is a huge factor with on/off numbers, especially with your starting lineups.

Petergrifindor wrote:Nah, Jokic is great, but if this year he wins the MVP, it would be either because of inertia or compensation for last year.
Luka has better numbers, and is doing much heavy lifting than Jokic.
If Dallas finish strong in these last games he should be the MVP, he has been clearly the best player this season.

Luka still third here. It’s not the March and April award, it’s a season award.
SGA playing more games on better efficiency and worlds better defense puts him at 2. Jokic’s season may feel down to you but it’s really not. Jokic is the MVP.
Luka has a great shot at the MVP next year starting the season with a better team.

That Jokic guy is really out of this world.

You forgot to mention that Luka is better than Shai in points, rebounds, assists, advanced stats and has almost identical efg%.And like things are looking OKC being 3rd and Mavs 4th in RS is a real possibility.

Btw. Luka was the best player of the February in the West and he averaged 37.1/9.2/10.4 in January.

You might read better, very few Luka's fans argue that Luka is better than Jokic. SGA being different story. And it seems Jokic having few worshippers too, who are defending him even when is no need.
Looking at West, Jokic and Denver will need all possible help in playoffs. No more walking in the park this year.

SGA definitely better in advanced stats. And I notice you didn’t mention Luka’s pretty rough FT percentage. TS which captures full efficiency has a wide gulf.
It’s possible Luka could catch SGA for 2nd but his team will need to win more than the Thunder from here so they can get out of the play in territory and more into the upper ranks. OKC is 2nd, Mavs 6th. SGA has also played more games than Luka. If those two things remain I think Luka’s a comfortable third.
Otherwise I admit it’s close again except that SGA is a top defensive player and Luka is not.

His individual numbers are insane, just like Jokic's. Not sure I could put Luka above Brunson, though. The Knicks' roster is pretty terrible and Randle, Robinson, and Anunoby have missed significant time.
