I always find it odd that people say the between the legs VC dunk was his best from that competition. For me it's the reverse 360 windmill by far.

The elbow dunk was VC's best in 2000 imo. Here I'm just saying VC's between the legs was the between the leg dunk with the most style.

Nah, Dwight is an anomaly.. very few have that height and vert to be able to do the tap, let alone add extra tricks to take it a step further.

The dunk will look really plain in 4 or so years. Right now it's amazing since none of us have ever seen a dunk like that before. But once people start making it more complicated and have more variations for it it will be incredible.

Just like Spud Webb's "off the floor then off the backboard" dunk back in the day. We were all amazed by that dunk then, but when we look back at it now it looks plain.

Dwight is an anomaly but there are players in the NBA that could do that dunk and add tricks to it. Players need an insane vertical and some serious hang time to do such dunks and I think players like Jamario Moon, J Rich and even Gerald Green have that ability.

but nothing beats VCs reverse 360 windmill, that was something you dont see every now and then

it's true, all those scenarios in the opening is pretty much impossible. one has to remember that the TAP is in mid air off an alley oop. When you're tapping, you're about to be on your descent, unless your arms are long enough to dunk it when you're about a foot from the floor, than it's pretty much impossible. Howard made it look easy, but adding anything in ADDITION to the tap, would be impossible.

VC should have been in another dunk contest..I remember at the end of the contest, they asked him and he said he would love to defend his title..what a shame..

HE JUMPED OVER A 7 FOOT TALL MAN..who knows what he would have done in the contest the year after..he should have just came out mid-way through the mediocre contest to the "DR.FUNK" chants, put Shaq under the net and jump over him and left the building..the dunk contest would have been cancelled after that, and we could have been watching something new during ASW..
