i understand our bench sucks and some guys are hurt but there are 29 other teams, many of which also have short benches who have been mired w/ injury - why is it that only the knicks run a 7.5 man rotation (again)
i'm honestly just burned out on this kind of shortsighted desperation w/ thibs - he will forever be the man he was 20+ years ago and to think anything otherwise is nothing short of delusion
Yea it’s tough.
We’re limited with him at coach.
He needs someone to offensive coordinate for him in addition to expanding the rotation. He gets you championship ready but he’ll tire you out before you even get in the ring.
I kind of see where things are heading and it’s concerning. The main issue that’s becoming abundantly clear, is we’re succeeding off pure talent and not actual scheme.
That works in the regular season against bottom feeders but good-great teams will feast on us because we’re overworking for quick shots & not utilizing players for good defensive sets. We can’t keep going from looking like team USA one game then barely an nba team the next. All of that is on coaching.
It’s a huge problem & I believe most are waiting till Mitch/Precious to come back to see if it gets rectified or just wanna be patient for at least a month but the things I’m seeing goes deeper than any player. It reminds me of Steve Kerr struggling with coaching adjustments for Team USA over the summer. Front office gotta do something quick.
