None of the other Americas teams will have frontlines that are any bigger than ours. Brazil won't have Splitter and Nene. The best big we have to worry about is Scola, and he's more a crafty than physical player that would just school Sacre.
Sacre will be more important next year when we have to deal with the likes of Cousins/Gasols/Pek/Mozgov/Bogut/Splitter/Gobert/JV.
I'd rather keep Ejim, who can D up SF's better than Doornekamp and Stauskas. He can also guard small-ball 4's better than any of our other bigs.
I cant say I disagree at this point. Ejim is playing pretty well. Sacre doesn't seem to be doing much. Still - with a healthy KO, I am not sure there are many minutes for Ejim (unless he replaces Doornekamp). Sacre can still fill a role providing some "beef" for 5 minutes a game.
My biggest concern right now is Brady's eye and Stauskas. I take back any kind words I said about Stauskas before yesterdays game. He looked really bad against PR.
Not only getting schooled by 38 year old Larry Ayuso but his shot is way, way off. Those three wide open looks at the start of the game were not even close. No surprise Scrubb had to play SG in the 4th - I was somewhat relieved not to see Stauskas out there at that point.
I really hope he gets it together, as mentioned the key guards are really struggling on offense. Thank goodness all our forwards have range.
