If NY can't move Melo to Houston in a three/four-team deal that can net the Knicks first round pick(s) and/or a young talent, just keep Melo until the trade deadline. (The coach will have to pull him and Hardaway at end of games so they don't mess up the tank.)
Sign Dotson to a 4-year deal like Hernangomez, or at least a 3-year deal to gain his bird rights. He is a knock down 3-pointer shooter who can spread the court and defend (3-D players are very valuable in this league). He is going to be a steal at 44.
Vet PG | F. Ntilikina | <C. Randle?>
C. Lee | R. Baker | D. Dotson
T. Hardaway | L. Thomas | <G/F?>
C. Anthony | W. Hernangomez | M. Kuzminskas
K. Porzingis | K. O'Quinn | J. Noah
O. Jaramaz goes back overseas with L. Labeyrie.I could do something in 2K with that roster.
The smart thing would have been to rebuild and not sign a player like Hardaway that will hurt the tank, but you can NEVER expect the
Knicks to do the "smart thing."

How is that?
It's hard being a Knicks fan...
