I would do that in a minute, I just don't know why the wiz would give up McGee.
Wall, (nothing), Iguodala, Lewis, Blatche looks awful
Wall, Iguodala, Lewis, Blatche (nothing) ain't much better.

I would love that trade, but Carmelo is an All-league type of player that you offer a prospect like Favors for. Iguodala isn't even an All-Star in this league, so I don't see Jersey doing that deal. Even us throwing in our unprotected first probably wouldn't be enough.

I dunnno. You keep hearing Iguodala's name turning up in different scenarios. First Denver wanted him, then the Knicks had him as a possible plan B. Maybe we can sell Billy King on him? He is considered a borderline all star.

They have plenty of scoring and despite the assist numbers Felton is putting up in that inflated D'Antoni offense, they could use a defensive minded, super athletic facilitator like Iggy more than thay need Melo. Melo plus Amare isn't like Wade plus James where you haev two good passers who can also score, they are both mainly score and board guys who play D only when necessary (Melo) or rarely at all (Amare).
No way Iggy brings in the same package Melo would, but he is more than worth Gallinari who can't defend, has no real position and a history of back problems. I'd rather send Iggy out West or at least out of the division for that matter.

Please don't try to rely on defensive metrics, which are weak in basketball since it is very easy to simply switch the weaker defender to a weaker scorer. Melo and Amare won't be great defenders because they are not and have never been that. Next thing you know you will be telling me DeMarcus Cousins is teaching Professional Responsibility courses to next year's rookies.

sometimes going off with our gut feelings rather than basing on any concrete evidence is much more logical...
at least it worked for this guy last year

Also, if we did that type of deal, are we playing favors at C?
