There's diminishing returns now that they've joined forces, but that's a lot of potential, efficient firepower lol. Playing a system under arguably the best coach in the NBA.
I want a "rental" and a year to convince him to stay, naive as that may sound.
Kawhi also happens to be one of the best wing defenders I’ve seen. While the offensive and defensive rating may not see huge increases due to diminishing returns, his value would be huge in the playoffs defending against someone like Simmons, Giannis and then in the finals against Durant or LeBron (shudder).
I don’t think there’s any chance Philly or Boston go near him now though, unless the Spurs for some reason decide to say **** you to the Lakers and give him to one of us for a decent price. He’s a far bigger risk than Paul George was last year. Dude has literally spent the entire season sooking and now he’s supposedly happy to sit out the season if he doesn’t get his way.
