Just read somewhere that you guys don't have an actual GM right now after letting Olshay go. So basically this Portland trade is how our bad trades would go when Doc Rivers was the head coach and GM of the team during our Lob City era. You guys shouldn't be making moves like this without an actual GM in place
This dirt is undeserved: Actually none of Doc's trades ended up hurting us. The FRPs were mid-to-high 20s monkey picks. He did not leave the cupboard bare --as it is now. In fact, Doc left the cupboard FULL so we could empty it to get Paul George...and thus Kawhi.
And no players left here and got significantly better. And after all the whining and mocking for YEARS, Jeff Green is STILL in the NBA, STARTING for a playoff team.

At 6'9" he WAS the SF of our dreams. Unfortunately Blake went down [TWICE!] and the dream frontcourt of DJ-Blake-JG never really happened. ORL signed him away for twice what he was worth and Sterling was hardly going to finance a bidding war.
Doc was not a genius wheeler and dealer--nor even a particularly good one--but neither did he sell out our future like so many other GMs have done to their team.
As for the Blazers, this clearly makes them a worse team, so there's only one interpretation--Cronin is obviously under orders from above. They're backing up the truck.
