Detroit takes on another year of salary, but gets some second round picks and the player is one who is a bit more consistent shooter, creates more for others, and is a better fit with the team since he can more credibly play small forward for stretches.
I like the premise and we can immediately resign the waived Lyles for BAE.
But the POR 2nd is gone already. It would have to be a Sac future 2nd.
I don't envy whoever updates realgm's list of picks lol. I don't think you'll be able to resign Lyles in the year you traded him unless another team signs him then also waives him.
