If you're going to call someone a "proven liar," you're going to have to back that up, or it's a personal attack.

Re: D-Will: Felton better PG than Lin
Here's the thing. Lin was getting all the credit for our wins while guys like Tyson Chandler, Jared Jeffries, Steve Novak and Iman Shumpert got no praise for their efforts because without them stepping up we dont win.
Lin played good but became bigger than the team even when he got STAT and Melo back he still tried to do it all and thats why we started losing. He was shooting too many shots. Him, STAT and Melo shot 14+ shots a night and that isn't good. Look at Rondo, he only shoots or tried to score when its there same with CP3 and Nash.
I think everyone can agree that Lin is over rated, he's good but not an All-Star and not an Elite PG

east_coast spews plenty of lies. repeatedly. when proven wrong and cornered with facts, be they medical facts or facts directly from lin's mouth (CNNSI interviews as examples), east_coast has chosen to duck out of every single thread he's been caught lying.
one of numerous examples.

Of course Felton is a better PG (when in shape), as much as i enjoy Linsanity period, i think Lin still so raw, but i expect him to polished his game this season.

You're complaining about Lin getting all the credit for the wins, then you hold only him responsible for the losses?? How about Stat who can't play defense? Melo who wasn't in rhythm at all (understandably so considering he was coming off an injury) and couldn't buy a bucket??
Yeah, Lin played well during his stretch, but the people who really overrated him was the NY media (and haters who like to stick words in his fans' mouths). There aren't many of his fans who claim he's an elite pg.

NY dodged a bullet not resigning Lin now that all the attitude problems and injury issues are coming out of the Rockets camp. Better for the hardcore fans too since the tickets will be cheaper now that the casual Asian fanbase has moved on.

Why don't Lin fan boys mention the damn turnovers???? It bugs me that they over look that, he basically avg 2 assist per game, it's going to come to light this yr, he's a fraud and I feel bad for him, going to have a hard time living up to that run.

Saying its Lin is like accepting that he started Linsanity.
And yeah Nets will be lottery bound again.

I think they don't mention the turnovers because he didn't have a training camp, he had a meniscus tear and the team was falling apart around him due to injury and poor coaching (prior to Woodson taking over and Lin ending his season due to injury). Given all of that and the sample size of his season (less than 40 games), it's really hard to take anything meaningful away from what happened. There are some inferences you can draw and it's likely that Lin isn't going to be some epic ball-protector even with training camp and a normal season plus health, but he may not be quite as bad as last season indicated. He'll have a better backcourt partner this season, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
He WILL have a hard time living up to that run, because he's not going to match that scoring volume going forward, but most people who followed him are expecting more like 15/7 on decent efficiency, that sort of thing.

Williams is hating... but I think the trend for the inner-circle of superstars in this league (D-Will is a part of it, along with Paul, James, Howard, etc.) is to not be as accepting of other players who amass hype. Ex. Lin.
Hate him or love him, or believe he's overpaid or overhyped or was a fluke, he played extremely well last season and Felton never had a year of basketball in this league that came close to it.

he is but nothing Felton did last year would lead you to think he is better than Lin at anything, except bad shooting.

Yes but Felton also obviously was completely out of shape in part due to the lockout in part due to his work ethic for most of the season, this is not the case this year, and it would not surprise me one bit if he is better then lin this year.
The thing that was frustrating for me in particular is Lin was one of the only hopes to elevate the knicks to a true contender status (probably wouldn't but it was worth the shot) and we let him go for financial reasons, the money the knicks bring in just makes it unacceptable to do something like that.

Felton's stretch with the knicks is equal if not better then Lin's so i don't know where this comes from

Unbelievable that people here are giving D-Will crap for giving a perfectly rational response.

Saying Felton is better than Lin is a bit of a stretch, but it's not nearly as much as most of you think. Funny how everyone conveniently forgets Felton's great stretch with Amare two years ago. He was playing at a near All-Star level.

Re: D-Will: Felton better PG than Lin
I think the second part of Deron's quote is telling:
He says that he takes Felton because he's got a better track record (which is at least a defensible point) but that he'll have to wait and see because Lin "had a heck of a run."
There's nothing remarkable about this statement at all.
"You'll have to see Jeremy Lin. He had a heck of a run. The numbers he was putting up were All-Star type numbers when he was starting, so we'll see how he does this year. But going off of track record, you know I'm going to go with Raymond Felton and Ray probably had his best year that half season he was there. I guess he likes the bright lights."
