what about Fizdale?

He’ll be sought after too, I think both will be head coaches next season. Fiz is probably a better coach for an older team who needs more of a personality manager. Igor will probably land with a younger team. Especially if it’s Luka’s new team.

That would be awesome for Igor... and Luka.

Spurs lose by 3 to the Bucks, and Pop lost his **** at Murray after the loss. You can tell he's feeling the pressure now.

Utah needs to take care of business today, as opportunities to gain ground aren't going to be easy to come by from here on out.
New York said Mitchell wasn't the guy you trade the sink for, then they traded it for Mikal, lol.

Fultz is so damn talented, but he literally cannot shoot. This is the weirdest thing ever.

It is actually kind of sad, it seems as though most of his recovery has to do with his mental space and the ultimate case of the yips. I wonder if he has anxiety stuff life K. Love and Derozan have come forward with as challenges they have had to fight through? All I know is I hope he gets things dialed in and feeling good to help the Sixers to the next level. I am over the Cavs/Toronto/Celts lock on the Leastern Conference and Philly is a fun team to watch and get behind (even though Simmons is going to lose by a hair to DM in ROY voting)!

So maybe Trey Burke wasn't a bust. Glad to see him turning it around. 42 points, having a statistically excellent season, talked to Locke about what he has done to change his life.

Fultz 8 assists and 1 turnover in 14 minutes in his debut.

He has been awesome for the Knicks. Hopefully Alec can go onto similar success once he gets out from under Snyder.

How’s is Trey’s defense looking?

I hope the same about Alec as well.

Nice to see him doing well, but it's even better hear that he turned his life around.

I kinda feel like if Burke didn't bust out of the league for a little while he wouldn't have gotten himself together like he has.

I hope you're not implying Trey Burke's absolute suckitude in Utah was anything but his own failure. Dude got WAY more than his share of chances in Utah. Utah's only mistake was not trading him at least a year sooner before his value dropped through the floor.

As for him being awesome for the Knicks, how many games have they won with Trey playing starter minutes? Let's see how good he is when he has to actually try and win games.

Yeah, I think people are jumping the gun on the gotten himself together talk. Remember, this is exactly what people were saying about Kanter, not long before Hornacek started sitting him in 4th quarters because he was such a defensive liability.

Again, playing well on a team that is losing all time isn't quite the same thing as playing well for a winner. If Trey Burke is playing starter minutes for NY next year and they are winning games, then I'd say it's fair to claim he's turned things around. Until then, I think he and Kanter both are mostly the same guys they were when Utah traded them.

What was his deal? Party dude? His talent always looked pretty good, he just didn’t play D and his shot was mysteriously off.

Lmao.

Just noticed that Burke scored 42 points on 31 shots. Only 2 games ago we had several fans here somewhat trashing both Mitchell and Snyder for the fact that Mitchell shot too much in a game we almost stole from a very hot spurs team.

Now we're congratulating Trey Burke on turning his career around after a similar game.

I'd honestly rather watch Mitchell shoot the ball 50 times, regardless of outcome, than ever go back to watching Trey burke shoot the ball 30 times. I'd also rather poke my eyes out with dirty hypodermic needles picked up off the ground in an area known for STD infestation than ever watch Burke shoot that much again.

He said he stopped working hard and wasn't always focused on getting better. I don't think he ever went into detail, but I think you can imagine how a young millionaire can get distracted off the court. Even when he was still on the Jazz he talked about not being focused on the court. I think I remember him saying that he stopped practicing outside of required practices. If he didn't have to play, he didn't play. He credited his resurgence to getting back to his old routines, waking up early, working on his game everyday etc.

Just seems like the classic case of kid letting the hype get into his head and thinking he was too good for everything. His parents certainly fed into his mindset. The good news is that he's back on track. He put the past behind him and seems happier on and off the court. You can tell just by looking at him that he's slimmed down and much faster.

Again, anyone actually watched him play and can comment on his defense? Not sure I would say he turned things around until he at least makes somewhat of a difference in defense.

Plus, while humbler he still thinks "Ima be an all-star". Yeah, he literally said that. I didn't wish him ill when the Jazz bailed on him but he obviously still has some ego problems and that is not going to make him a popular locker room guy. I mean, their are plenty of guys in the league who are good players who don't claim they are going to be a star. I'm not even sure the all-stars ever said that to the press.

Good night so far - Nugs drop to Raptors in a scary close game where Jockic almost had a triple double and SA got beat by WA and LMA went out with a knee contusion early (not good, but still, good for the Jazz). Good lord, if the Jazz beat Boston they are back to the 6 seed?
