lin is ok wrote:TinmanZBoy wrote:nobody is holding him back in the Hornets...
it is his own skill level setting himself back...
come on he is on a short lease . admit it . last bench player in. definitely not allowed to play through his mistakes.
not part of the final lineup if every hornet player is hitting on all cylinders. for him to slip in. either kemba or lamb has to regressing. these 2 have alot of space to try while lin sits on the bench.
tonight's game is just one example... what I am talking about is my observation about what lin did on the court the whole season so far...
where is the mid-range game which was so promising during the pre-season.. where is the floater he has worked on the last two summers? He still drives into the crowd without a tight handle to back it up... still not comfortable to run more intricate motion offense... In reality, what McHale run in Rockets is the best system for lin, less structured, a lot of PnRs, high octane, fast in transition, open floor....
Lin has had a very high usage rate this season, but he has not created much for teammates, he himself scored well for a couple of games and that's it...
I will not surprised to see Lin will have a few nice games or a stretch nice games, but ultimately he will go back to his mean, because his skill level is still the same, and with less intangibles ;-(
