Rven though I don't ever like the idea of helping out the flakers, one trade that I would consider ( last option choice) just to dump salary would be:
Allen or O'neale w/ Richards ( because they're desperate for a center)!! For either Klebers' $11 million or Vincent's $11 million expiring contract and the 55th pick. ( Don't really care about using it as much as just taking it from them so they can't use it themselves).
I think that they'd definitely consider it with both Finney Smith and Reeves opting out.

No details why he declined the contract?
Think it says they're going to work on a deal next summer or something. Can also probably get more on open market from another team if he has a another good year
This is another one where context matters and knee-jerk reactions are unnecessary.
Teams are limited in how much they can offer as veteran extensions to players based on the contracts they are currently on. Reaves is playing on a below-market contract, and an extension can only start as a certain percentage higher than what he's making now. So the Lakers are going to offer the max they are allowed to now, but Reaves is almost certainly going to be able to command more in the open market as a free agent once his contract expires (
including from the Lakers) where he can sign a new contract instead of an extension, allowing him to earn a much higher amount of money.
