Haven't heard much this year, but last year I remember him being a very exciting/unexpected +contributor from SF position. I feel like eye test he's pretty long, strong solid body, good lateral movement ... so make up of a good one-on-one perimeter defender at SF?
Any one with more insight to confirm or deny?Based on box score last year (when he got real run starting a solid amount of games) he averaged 1.2 steals and 5.6 rebs in 25 min. I like those numbers for our current Bulls team.
We need more defenders on the perimeter, especially swingmen. Really it's just Pat; I have no idea if Lauri stays or not today, but if he does go it would signal to me that Pat may get more burn at PF (which could be a good pairing with Vuc). (Lonzo and his defense would really help transform a negative to a possible positive for this team on perimeter defense).
Brown at very least gives a good prototypical SF off bench (whereas Hutch is never available and Val is more gadget).
I like Gafford actually. Hope he develops into serviceable NBA big. Wagner is a one year shot and see what he's got. Never really see him get much run, but know he does some things ok, nothing special. I'm guessing Brown was the main reason for this.
