What they have done so far? I am gonna wait to give Presti his flowers when they arrive to the NBA Finals or anything close to that.
You never know in this league. What I know about them as a fact is that they have been too many years out of the playoffs and rebuilding and last year they were eliminated in the 2nd round...not too much to talk about it.
They look good and they can have a good future...but it's all theory for now.
And I have to say it... Hartenstein for $29M per year is a joke.
Well, they just finished year 4 of a rebuild and had the #1 seed. The year before we went to the finals, we had been in the lottery for like a decade and they were the 4/5 seed and had been a competitive playoff team for 15 or so years. They trade us a player that vaults us to the finals and kicks off their rebuild as they fall to 22 wins.
Since then we have lost in the 2nd round in 7, then lost in the 2nd round in 6, and now this year gotten swept in the first round.
They had a second rebuilding year with a bad record, then went nearly 500, a fringe playoff team, and then 57 wins, the #1 seed and losing in the 2nd round in 7.
That sounds like the way to build a team to me. After a long competitive run, tear it down, and after only 2 bad years you are a fringe playoff team, and then the #1 seed, but still young in a tough west so obviously hard for any team to make finals, but especially a young one. They played Dallas a lot tougher though than the team that swept us though and also clobbered us several times this season, I think once even without SGA.
We are one of worst teams for a decade, then cash in all our chips and future to try and win now, fail, fall to a first round sweep team.
Would you rather have our roster and future picks or their's? If you could trade all of our assets (players/picks) for their's, would you?
