David Lee tops my list. Boozer would be a candidate but Chicago probably would rather amnesty him and extend Gibson instead. Memphis has several contracts in Gay, Randolph but I don't see the attraction on their side. It has to be a player that the other team does not value much. Denver may call within a year or two offering McGee is things don't work out. Kings may not say no to a Thornton/Salmons/Hayes package. I bet Washington might want to do a deal involving one of Okafor/Nene plus Ariza if they are not winning.
Obviously any of these deals would only occur if Amare is healthy.
you almost have to look at a team that has a problem signing free agents.... I thought about the rockets but morey would just beat us up in a trade again, plus they have two poison pill contracts to deal with in asik and lin, so they won't take on amare.. i was thinking kevin martin, but his deal is expiring.. so that is out...
I would check golden state for biendrins and peter pan( curry) I doubt they give us lee, he is productive....
then I would visit atlanta and see if we can ship carmelo for josh smith and I sure there will have to be some fillers..
then you can put josh at PF, chandler at center, and heck if we must, play copeland at SF until we can either draft one or trade for one to fill in....
