Nah. If KP won't pick up the phone, you gotta send messages in other ways.
KP is not obligated to pick up the phone. It's the off-season. If pjax wants to mend the relationship this isn't a step in the right direction
If your boss wants to talk to you, you are obligated to pick up the phone. Otherwise, there may be consequences.
That is pretty cut and dry across every industry.

what does this publicity accomplish ? i'm pretty sure he got enough yesterday anyway.and it's till going on today. there seems to be a lot of back and forth offering just for publicity.

That's what I'm saying, but these guys go crazy whenever they hear draft pick. It's amazing, when you talk about Philly and Fultz and Simmons it's like "you're basing your future on guys who never stepped on the court", but now we are rumored to get draft picks and everyone want to base their future on guys who never stepped on the court. It's hilarious.
YOu also shut your bitch ass up you f**k boy

Knicks are not desperate to trade KP. Phil is doing the right thing here in asking for everything.

It's not for publicity in Phil's case. It is to flex on KP.
that message has been sent. he's still negotiating. also, i reject the idea that he wouldn't be better off in a lot of places. phil is scaring him by threatening to send him to a better franchise who was just in the ecf ? he's unhappy with how things are being run here. after he thinks about he'll probably realize it was a favor.

Whether or not Phil is beefing with KP, Phil should be listening if another team wants to unload their war chest for KP.
What team in the league could reasonably afford the price that Phil is asking?

I agree with Shamm. What would be the downside for KP in being sent to Boston? We're not negotiating with Sacramento or some place like that.
He'd be in a stable, winning environment with a good culture and pretty much zero drama while also getting to play for Brad Stevens. He'd also be able to get the Designated Vet Extension from Boston whenever he qualified for it.

KP may be being a bitch, but Pjax is still handling the situation the wrong way (like he has with everything) if he wants to remedy the problem. Maybe he doesn't and he just wants to trade him, which I would say is smart...if we can get 2 high lotto picks and maybe another player or pick coming back.

Except its highly unlikely that any of those prospects will ever become as good as KP. The Knicks should just build around him. Value wise its there if Phil can get Ainge to give up all of his best assets (which would include the Brooklyn picks and the Kings/Sixers pick), but you're better off with KP.
We know that, but we don't control Phil or Dolan. They have both done moronic things in the past. I wouldn't put this idiocy past them. As a matter of fact, the skipped exit meeting issue is right up Dolan's alley and pushes all his buttons, and I wouldn't have put trading KP over that petty insult beyond Dolan even without Phil. So we sure as hell aren't expecting Dolan to be the brake here on Phil. If anything, Phil was hired to be a moderating influence to stop Dolan from pulling this sort of crap.

Agreed.
#3, Nets first next year, Brown and Crowder, or Ainge can kiss our collective asses

In addition to letting him know that no one on this team is untouchable, the other side is that these negotiations are showing how much we actually value KP. Anyone think that KP had ever imagined being worth a Melo-like haul?

In his first year with Lakers Phil asked Jerry West to trade Kobe for Suns' Jason Kidd and Shawn Marion, which was almost done.
But Kobe (2 time all star then) was a better player at that stage than KP is now, and clearly Kidd (wasn't his Nets MVP caliber form yet) and Marion (rookie) don't compare to Boston's current lottery picks, Jaylen Brown, super role player in Jae Crowder.
I'm pumped!!!

regardless of how and why this started, if BOS is even remotely thinking about giving you #3, next year's BK pick, Brown, Crowder, you wouldn't follow that trail? I'd definitely think about it, considering your 2nd year player is trying to flex what little leverage he has to get you fired.

flex on what? KP probably happy to be out of this situation. You would be doing him a favor.

OK. Just interested in your opinion. Is all the trade KP stuff just Phil playing his notorious mind games to get Porzingis to call him? He has been incommunicado all off season hasn't he.
