If their fans are any indication, they seem very open to dealing all their young guys for KL and Norm to be a favorite in the east

norm won't be in the trade.

Don't see why Miami wouldn't add Herro.

Butler isn't getting any younger and they made the finals last year. Kyle could be the piece that pushes them over the top.

No better time than now. Even for Pat Riley.

Tbh...I think he might even be worse with is and our switch-heavy approach. But I'm curious if there's any rationale in how his defensive value may vary depending on schemes.

Do we think Herro could be a Devin Booker in the making?

I do like the A/T of 1.375 as a rookie and 1.48. I could see him get to 2 as a SG.

Booker has not shot from 3 better than Herros' rookie % and shot 32.6% in his 4th year which is like the 32.9% thus far for Herro this season.

I could see Herro get up to 19-20 ppg next season.

Dragic and Olynyks expiring plus a pick in the year 5030 isn't going to get you any decent player let alone Kyle freaking Lowry. Give me a break....

I do, and I don't think Miami let's him go for Kyle.

We would need to sweeten the offer.

Exactly. Make another run for the next 2 years then sell and get a top 5 pick with tonnes of cap space then sign the Lebron, Wade, Bosh.

I'll take Herro, Dragic, Olynyk and whatever first Miam even has left. Otherwise they can look elsewhere

I would certainly do that. Good prospects to look forward to that are still on their rookie contracts. Olynyk might re-sign with us and fills a position of need moving forward.

Adding Norm and TD would definitely increase Miami's offensive firepower. Only concern is that all 3 of those Raptors are expirings, not sure if they want to deal with all those signings in the offseason.

And worsen our pick? Why would we want to do that?

If you look at the raps championship run. It came from good drafting and stock piling decent players. Currently this team does not have the player equity .
Deleon Wright, Terence Ross, jakob poeltl, Jonas valanciunas and Demar. All these players are still currently playing and contributing in the NBA.

We flipped those player for serge ibaka, Marc Gasol and Kwahi. Also Freddy undrafted

We need to right this year off trade Norm and Lowry. For picks/ serviceable young talent and hopefully we can have a quick rebuild year. If you don’t like the word rebuild then retool.

We definitely wouldn't waive Iggy, don't think he can sign back with Miami anyways if that happened.

If we get Iggy, we would likely flip him for more assets. He's still a good playoff wing stopper that contenders would want. Utah, Denver, etc. can use someone like him if going against the LA teams.

Iggy is shot bruh. He'd be a buy out candidate for sure. Raps arent competing and would almost certainly rather give those minutes to guys who need to be developed (Yuta, Paul Watson...etc)

If we trade Kyle, we need to include some of our deadweight too in a package

The only "deadweight" we have right now is Baynes and I'd rather not dilute a Lowry package by including negative value deals in the mix.

Lowry is one of our best assets and if we want to minimize our time in the lottery, we need to extract as much value as we can.

OG, FVV, and Siakam aren’t going anywhere. NBA rotation players actually make a lot of sense unless you want to treadmill while waiting on those rookies to develop.

Those guys are nothing special. Picks are more valuable than just drafting rookies, we can use them to upgrade from one of FVV/OG/PS to a disgruntled star.

You can’t just trade picks for salary.

We need to acquire young players bird rights to simply raise our salary floor.
