Knicks apparently needed Noel/Burks/Rivers a LOT more.

Many guys wanted Christian Wood to be the PF here but for me his best position is really playing the 5.
Once we drafted Obi, he made so much sense. Plus the FO seems low on Mitch.

I just added up 3 guys who were nearly 14 million, which is what Wood is getting per year.
I wouldn't have had an issue with the Knicks going Wood and then addressing their horrific guard rotation with two guys who resemble NBA guards.

Cam Reddish for Frank Ntilikina.
Don't turn it into Frank bashathon. Both players have busted relative to their draft position.
Hawks have Hunter/Huerter/Bog Bog ahead of him in the rotation.
Then again, they already added Snell/Dunn as backup guards who'll bring some defense.
I guess, never mind.
Thought maybe a change of scenery\Cam reunited with RJ might work for both players.

I believe many Hawks fans are as protective of Cam as some are of Mitch over here.
Also, it didn't exactly work for Reddish when he and RJ were together the first time, so I'm not sure what the hope is in "reuniting" them.

A couple Portland fans from the trade board thought it made sense when a fan of some other team suggested it

No way I was suggesting Hunter or Huerter, who look like future pieces for the Hawks, while I'm not sure Reddish is really in their plans.
Other than to move him at some point.
And someone mentioned "Oh, they play him over Gallo".
Gallo is hurt and also is a pure PF at this point in his career.

I gotta apologize to you and HEZI. Wood is nice.
Am still happy with the new and improved Randle though
I find it pretty cool that you keep rooting for him. He seems like an okay dude simply judging by his demeanor and temperament. He's just not a fit here.

Their organization seems to view that trio similarly, and though (at least) one will ultimately end up trade bait, none are players they seem in any rush to get rid of. Basically, I don't think any of them will be available for a prospect swap but any of them could be available in a trade that consolidates some of their pieces into a clear upgrade...and which ones they'd be willing to move would depend on that upgrade.
So unless we're selling RJ or Julius becomes a perennial Allstar contender...or we can weasel our way into a 3 team deal that gets them someone like Beal...we don't have the right kind of bait to steal any of their young wings.
