Ol Mel Kiper was right. This draft is prime time, wild wild entertaining stuff. Obviously as a Bears fans I am a bit biased as we sit atop of it all.

Kind of want this energy to continue, use 2025 capital to trade into the 20s and get a defender. It’s not rational, I know.

Wow. 6 of 12 picks are QBs.

I agree. Trade our 1st for a 20’s pick and get that 3 Tech.

What does this say about the valuation of Fields though, and moreso the contracts that franchises fear committing to? Like Justin is worth a future 6th, and Bo Nix is worth the 12th overall pick? Ok....

Obiviously werent but that was apparently a surprise to a non insignificant size of Bears fandom, including several people actively posting in this thread right now.

Raiders should have traded for Fields. Adams and Bowers would have helped Fields a lot.

I’d like us to go OL/DL with our remaining picks.

Should’ve held on to fields. A couple teams left looking for a QB

Is MHJ even that big of a upgrade over Rome? The capital required to trade up to 4 would have been a lot! I'm good with Rome.

Just think of the quality of people on that offense as far as character. That’s how to lay a team foundation. They can take more chances down the road

All 3 were pretty good prospects.

Yep. Rome is as high character as it gets.

He has a bit of injury history already though

I’m aware of that. I’ve been watching MPJ since his Indiana days. If not for the medicals, I believe he’d be regarded as the second best QB in this draft. The guy can play. I just don’t understand why ATL took him there.

As us Bears fans know all too well, without a QB it doesn't matter how good your team is.

It's definitely a reach but if you wanted a QB you had to reach. Time will tell as to whether Penix was worth it
