doesnt seem right - There has to be some foul play to this. I couldnt imagine someone would "self-inflict" a body shot - too many variables in that. Also - the fact that he has been missing for a while. Seems fishy.

That sucks. Without being insensitive, if there's any positive to take out of this news it's that they found his body. It could've been Brian Williams 2.0. Having closure is at least a relief. Although a very sad one.

I agree.

I also agree with the poster that said there has to be foul play. No one tries to kill them self with a body shot. Unless its in the kidney, but that's one of the most painful ways to die still. So im lost.

Apparently the police are investigating a 911 hangup call from Wright's cell phone. It looks like foul play is indeed in play here.

Damn, that's sad.

In my head, I'm thinking of Lorenzen Wright as an "old" guy because he's played basketball for quite a while, but then you realize he's just 34 and had most of his life ahead of him.

This story sounds fishy, so I hope they catch the people that are behind this.

Bill Simmons just pointed out that four members of the 1996 Clippers (Wright, Bison Dele/Brian Williams, Malik Sealy, Kevin Duckworth) have died now, and a fifth (Rodney Rogers) is now a quadraplegic. Stay indoors, Loy Vaught.

I cant help but feel that it has something to do with living lavishly while in the NBA and then when they lose that constant income, they have no other options to make money and burn out or something. Money can drive people insane when you have it and lose it.

The self-inflicted wound part is pretty odd. Wouldn't there be a vehicle by the forest preserve? or did he just walk out there? Why would he call 911?

I read that he was shot multiple times though. I don't think it was self-inflicted.
