That's just not going to get it done for a guy who's only primary impact is taking open shots and providing spacing. In the same time span Snell has a TS% of 61.3, and 13.0 pts/36.

I am hard on guys, but I've come to appreciate that the NBA is a game of an inch. It is the difference between a fast guy beating an almost as fast guy, it is the clearance that a good shooter has to get off his shot from an average one, and it is the difference between a ball bouncing in or out of the basket. It is harder than we all think for guys who were consistently good at what they do/did to come back and be that guy again, against NBA level talent. In MDJ's case, he has the added defensive attention of not having Jimmy an Derrick. He is exactly what you want from a 4th option guy on offense. Efficient with open shots. IMO he's not done, but he's not a good 2nd or 3rd option guy.

Maybe I am maybe I am not. Thibs has potential to be great coach but he chooses not to be one and he hurts this team more than people realize. In this moment I want him gone, this can maybe change if he comes to his senses. But 4 years of stupidity and stuborness and questionable rotations, trusting washed vets over talented guys dont give me much hope. Hoiberg is my first choice.

It's not Mike's fault at all he can't last 82 games into the season...he's freakin 34.

Jut like Hinrich, they're both good players being asked to do what's far beyond their physical capabilities. Guys who were athletically deficient in their early twenties are not going to be able to hang in the NBA at 34. That's reserved for elite talent like Duncan, Gasol, Dirk.

Good teams carry a mid-30 year old vet like the Hawks and Elton Brand, but the Hawks sure don't start Elton Brand or rely on him in any way.
