No on moving the #29. Won't happen. They have that planned out.

Salmons, #5, #36 works but they want to get rid of Evans as well. They are even talking about playing Evans at SF next year. He doesn't fit in Sacramento.

i dunno about that. salmons has fallen off a cliff the past couple of years

incoming salary - 23.6
outgoing - 27.6

even that mere 4 mil over 2 years in savings might marginally help us avoid lux tax this year (?), re-sign omer and/or taj. along with the potential in the draft pick might make make the deal worthwhile, but hardly something to be excited about

That's why I said it would depend on the guaranteed amount in the final year. If it's fully non guaranteed then it's 2 years 16 million vs 2 years 27.6 million.

it's 1 mil guaranteed and you're leaving out the salary of draft pick

Too many ball dominate players in Sacramento.

he was almost as bad the year before in milwaukee. and his defense was atrocious

Can we do Noah + Taj + Asik + Charlotte Pick + Unguaranteeds for Dwight and Hedo?

That would leave us with:

Dwight / Biedrins
Boozer/ Hedo
Dorrel / Hedo / Butler
Rip / #7 / Butler
Rose / Kidd / Lucas

That looks like a winner to me. Starting unit of Dwight/ Boozer / Dorrel / Rip/ Rose with Hedo coming in as a closer point forward.

I think we can use the MMLE on top of that lineup for some more 3 point scoring to round out the roster.

Wouldn't the #7 pick be better used to send to ORL?
Keith Bogans does his job. Boo Hoo. You want him to quit?

Then the Bulls hang up, as it defeats the purpose for them.

The Bulls hang up as soon as they are told to add the Bobcats Pick.

they should laugh first and then hang up. no way short of a Howard trade or someone of that magnitude coming should that pick even be discussed.

Howard does not want to play in Chicago. I don't know why you guys keep pushing that. You don't gut your team for a 1-year rental.

Evans + Garcia + 5th (Barnes, hopefully he slips) for Deng + Taj + Future Draft Pick
#29: Select Drew Gordon

F Barnes/Butler
F Boozer/Gordon
C Noah/Asik
G Evans/Hamilton/Garcia
G Rose/Evans/Lucas

They probably would, but they're not doing a deal where they don't get the highest pick involved.

It's the story of Salmons' career. He is only effective if he's used as a scoring option.

I'd also add that I think a lot of you are overvaluing the Charlotte pick too. It's a nice pick to have in the back pocket, but it's a huge unknown. Yes the Bobcats are bad, but there is no guarantee they'll remain this bad in 4 years. I'd hate to hold back on improving the team a great deal for the 13th pick in the 2015 draft or something.

Although sources stressed that no deal is imminent, Sacramento (No. 5) and Toronto (No. 8 ) have let Houston know that their top-10 selections are available. Sources say that the Rockets, in turn, have made both of their first-round picks available (No. 14 and No. 16), but the key to any trade going through could be point guard Kyle Lowry.

I would say that applies to Ben Gordon, as well.

I was thinking this myself. No guarantee Charlotte will suck that long, especially with all the draft picks they'll get along the way. The Bobcat pick is a sweetener at this point, nothing more.
