Kirk Hinrich Thread: Bucks Offering Up To $4M/yr (PG.43)

Post#1 » by boogydown » Mon Jul 2, 2012 1:42 pm

It's been reported that the organization reached out to former Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich at the outset of free agency and according to a person with knowledge of the situation, offered a deal at or just above the veteran's minimum and below the "mini" mid-level exception], which could be under [Hinrich's] desired price range

Meh. He'll get more elsewhere. I'd like to see them go a different direction, but i won't be mad if they get Kirk.

If he goes to LA/Whatever and West stays with Dallas.

Bulls have no choice but to bring back Watson

He won't take that, and we won't offer more.

Dodged a bullet.

Contrary to some people's belief, Kirk has no allegiance here. Not that I actually think he's worth more money (I really don't), but he has no real reason to come back here - at a discount -and also be limiting the number of minutes he plays (because Derrick will come back). He'll make more money elsewhere and probably enjoy himself more.

Why didn't they offer that money to other targets? What **** morons, Kirk was the option no.1 all along.

Why aren't we reading about such an offer for Delonte West or Billups?

Because there isn't a chance in hell that either one sign for that. The only thing we have going with Kirk is the hope that he will take a hometown/nostalgia discount.

I hope they pay him under the table or promise him a managing position after he's retired. Come home Kirk please. I've been dreaming about this day for 2 years.

Ohhh boy.

I think Kirk signs here but man I am not looking forward to him being the starter half a season. Don't see why he'd go to LA because they already have Blake and I assume they still would like to resign Sessions

I see no problem with 2 mil a year for Kirk for 2-3 years. Thats a solid player at a cheap price. His ability to play alongside Rose also makes it reasonable..

And you know that how? Delonte West played for a vet minimum last season. 2.5 M for Hinrich is not discount, it's Hinrich stealing money from the organization. Horrible player.
