Free agent guard Dahntay Jones will sign with the Chicago Bulls today, agent Mark Bartelstein tells HoopsHype.

Thoughts? Sounds like another 3 and D guy. Maybe another body to throw at LeBron, Wade, George and a few other wings.

Have always hated him especially during his tenure with the pacers but happy he's now on the bulls. Another tough defender to use against the heat.

Look for us to have interest in Battier next summer if we lose Deng.....haha...and to think guys we wanted Brand this summer too... Look out for Rodney Hood in the 2014 draft for us....

We must have an organizational taboo against dribbling. Seems a bit redundant when we already have Deng, Butler, Hinrich and Snell who are all going to D you up and shoot threes.

Well actually he doesn't shoot that many threes, or make much of anything anymore. 6.4 PER last year, sub .500 TS%. I guess only one way to go from that.

They got Marco last year. I wish they got somebody like that even if they are defensively not that great or offensively super-efficient. If Kirk is hurt again, it is Teague running the bench without any help in ball handling.

Good signing. Let's put the nickname "Snell Insurance" on his jersey. Dude is probably only going to play in blowouts or the case of injuries. Even then, Snell will be ahead of him if Snell can actually play.

And no, if Snell can't clearly outplay a 33 year old Dahntay Jones enough to EARN the minutes, then he shouldn't get the minutes.

I'm not sure, but I doubt he has a guaranteed contract. We've added 6 players to fill out the training camp roster.

The Chicago Bulls announced today the signing of free agents Patrick Christopher, Mike James, Dahntay Jones, Kalin Lucas, Dexter Pittman and D.J. White to round out their 2013-14 training camp roster. Per team policy, terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
