So the video game youtuber Chris Smoove made a video of the beginning of MyPlayer, next gen. And its taken to the next level, be warned though, it can get a lil cheesy at times :lol:

NBA Live looks awful. EA was voted worst company in America for a reason. Their games consistently suck, yet it doesn't stop people from being suckered in to buying the latest edition of Madden even though it's the same game we've been playing for years.

I'm excited to get my hands on 2k14. Disappointed the passing still looks bad, but there's a lot to be happy about when it comes to the graphics, presentation, and subtleties in gameplay.

Still think EA needs to ditch simulation basketball altogether and just crank out new NBA streets every 2 years. I'd drink that sh%t up.

EA were in a damned if you do damned if you dont situation with Live 14... imagine if they canned it again? they had to release it to spare that humiliation just so they could suffer this whole other kind of humiliation...

Your spot on Tenchi... they should focus on delivering basketball in a whole different way...

A little? My God, that's absolutely cringe-worthy! :lol:

I had to stop watching after like two minutes...

If only it were that easy to make it to the NBA. Practice by yourself on an empty court for a few hours, talk to yourself after every shot, and then go to some made up draft showcase and be guaranteed to go in the first round. Oh, brother... I was hoping they'd do away with that draft showcase crap with next gen but I guess not. I think it'd be way better if they started you off on your college team in the tournament and you use those tourney games to boost your draft stock.

I'm glad I'm more into Association (or MyGm or whatever they call it now) than MyPlayer...

Even if they just set it up as the last quarter of a college final or something where you have a chance to win the game or lose it, then it flows through into the draft etc...

I've never been a huge gamer, heck, I'm not a gamer at all, but the one game I did grow up playing was the NBA LIVE series. I still remember when 2K was starting up, EA and their NBA LIVE games were still the big brother. It's kind of sad to see how much they've fallen behind to the point where it's likely that no one will likely push 2K to their limits for a long time, and as consumers it's not necessarily a good thing.

That game has GOAT graphics, Sony need to make a NBA game.

But EA make FIFA, Madden etc look good though but not their NBA games. They need to get whoever design graphics for them to do it for Live.

Whatever happened to the old EA Big? Def Jam: Fight for NY was a classic and NBA Street for the PS2 was legendary.
They fumbled with this NBA Live they've been working on.
