Why does Pops deserve it over Thibs?

Pops is like Lebron with the MVP, he can win it every year but it would be boring. Give it to someone else

I'm absolutely surprised that Thibs didn't make his top three, but he is free to vote for whoever he wants. I don't really see a problem here.

Yeah, just like how Jordan probably only should of received 2 MVP awards. So boring that he won more. What were the voters thinking?
Why so serious?

Both surprised and impressed that Stacey didn't just put Thibs in as a homer vote.

Those were all good candidates, IMO.

I actually have a hard time placing pops above Thibs. I am also pretty much the antithesis of a homer. Hornacek I can see though, just because he really did over-achieve. That being said Popovich always seems to do that so it is a fresh face. I get that too. As far as Stacey he has a good basketball mind, his gimmicks are tiresome but don't doubt his knowledge.

That is all that needs to be said.

I wouldn't have voted for Thibs either, actually.

Our season turned around because of Augustin. PERIOD!

Thibs needs to lose that stubborness and play Jimmer! Its a lot of things Thibs can improve on IMO!

I think the media is just all on him making the case for him but the FACT is, we are where we are because of D.J. AUGUSTIN! Otherwise, we wouldn't have had to trade Deng like we did because we'd already be in this position.

Company man and homer are two different things. One knows what his job is the other is just stupid and can't see the forest for the trees.

I'd be way more angry about this if I didn't have a 50/50 love-hate relationship with Thibs. He's an unbelievable coach. No question about it. What he's done these last two years with a depleted roster has been phenomenal. His mantras of "we have enough" and "do your job" are oddly inspiring.

But the dude is stubborn to a fault. I hope Thibs can learn a thing or two from this year's COY, namely in terms of resting players and not being so rigid with his rotations. Pop is terrific at understanding the difference between the regular season and playoffs. He also makes adjustments with lineups and plays his bench.

I had Thibs finishing 4th behind Pop, Hornacek, & Casey. Portland's coach and the Mavs coach deserved it too.

The Flaws in this GAME 2 LOSS in his coaching is the primary reason why he should NOT have won.

Thibbs inability to bring in offense is why the Bulls are down 0-2.

So stubborn to bring in Jimmer Fredette.
