Ran into Greg Oden the other night at a bar in Columbus. Dude seems like a mess. Like a 23 year old showing up to High School parties or something. Just seemed weird. Apparently he's on campus quite a bit....I think his playing days are over...but he should invest his earnings or something somewhere and just enjoy life. I almost felt bad for him, as if Ohio State is the only place where he feels welcome

So D-Will taking shots at Kobe

Deron needs to be getting himself together first, Kobe got success to show, and you got....well....

The initial quote from Kobe was in relation to Deron going 0-9 in a game though, which it appears he was directly asked about.

No shots fired at Kobe I think, just justifying why he didn't keep shooting, which is fair enough. Deron said exactly what he should say I think.

This quote is better -

You probably jumped higher than me last year," [Williams] said to an unathletic reporter.

i think the suns had a nice offseason...signed dragic, morris twins and bledsoe to deals that will look great when the new TV kicks in 2 years and quite frankly...the deals as a whole all look good even in this cba.

patience paid off for them.

It's such a damn shame that an NBA player can be so damn unfit like Felton is. What a waste of a career. Be a damn professional for crying out loud, you play basketball for a living - make the most of it!

Evan Turner seems to realize that he is a bust.
http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/23 ... erall-Pick

“I’m not coming in here like I have anything to prove, I really just want to get into a groove and make the best of my opportunity,” Turner said. “That’s really it. I’m not trying to prove anything to anybody else; I’m trying to prove something to myself. I have to look in the mirror. If I tried to prove myself to other people, I’d probably go crazy.”

"... When it comes down to it, next to my name you’ll either say the No. 2 pick before or after, so things come along with that. I’ve always just tried to fit in the best way I could. It hasn’t been the 25 points everyone has been expecting and whatever occurred, but I’m just worried about what’s happening now.”

John Wall and Dion Waiter openly going at it arguing who has the better backcourt on social media.

“[The Cavaliers] haven’t seen a playoff game yet, so when they make one, they can start talking,” Wall said.

“If you’re going to be the best backcourt, you have to start,” Wall said. “This is the year [Waiters is] probably starting, so let’s see if they’re the best backcourt.”

As much as D-Will is kind of a tool, both guys are right.

Was watching this video on Delonte West - at 5:20 it sounds like either his agent was trying to get him a gig with the Bulls or the Bulls had him as a potential target.

Maybe if we didn't land Brooks we would've gone for West in the same role? Now that would've been interesting. I think Thibs had him at Boston? But yeah, I like Delonte, not the brightest of guys clearly but I think he means well and is a good guy, I hopehe gets another chance somewhere.

I never understood why people steer clear of Delonte, but JR is still in this league. I hope he can get a job in this league though I was asking to bring him in last year. He's just one of those guys I wish we could just sign just to help him out and he did play with Thibs so maybe he was on our radar.
