I'm signing up for Ballstreams next Tuesday before the price goes up. Having it shut down is always a possibility but their sister site Hockeystreams has been running strong for 5 years without any legal issues. I also like the option of being able to watch the national games on any device which is next to impossible through any other apps. I'm hearing that Roku is the best stream option for Ballstreams, anyone agree?

I am looking at alternative options since I no longer have cable and need to watch Bulls games some how. I would consider league pass and pick five teams or so, but the blackout rules really screw me since I live in Chicago. How do some of the Chicago members who don't have cable watch games? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

How good are the online and mobile feeds? Lots of pauses and buffering?

Seems like 35% of the Bulls games are on national TV so I will really only be paying to watch all the other games. I wish they had an option like NFL rewind where I could get all the games just for the Bulls for $30 online like I do for the Bears.

Thanks for the info!
just got tix to bull/warriors on the 27th. Gonna be a good game. Dubs tix are PRICEY compared to last year though...

I live in Australia and don't have cable. I got this AppleTV device earlier this year and got the NHL and MLB yearly packages through iTunes. I just tried to sign up for NBA League Pass today but the AppleTV said it wasn't available at this time. Is there a problem with my AppleTV or is League Pass only available once the real season starts?

I'll be going as well. Gotta hook up and should be in some good seats. Just hope Bulls are firing on all cylinders then.

I think I am going to go with Ball Streams. Less money and you don't have to limit your teams you pick from.

Another Bay Area Bulls fan here... Do they allow multiple log ins with League Pass? I was thinking of sharing an account with someone.

I go to this game every year, always fun. Sucks that the warriors are getting pricier, but it will only go up from here.

Regarding thr topic at hand, I go for league pass. Main reason is because more than one person my home watches different games at the same time, and only one tv is near a computer (to connect via HDMI). If I was only going to watch on my computer or phone, I would likely go ballstreams, but right now that doesn't seem like a reality for me. In the future it seems likely though.

It doesn't apply to most people outside of the US.

I called my cable company yesterday and it is not available yet. I don't know about the Oz pricing, but the standard fee this year is $199.99 USD for a full season. However, when it becomes available there is usually an early bird discount, which is about $20.00 cheaper, according to the woman I spoke with yesterday. As I've mentioned in other posts, I get all of the games in HD on TV, so it is totally worth it to pay the extra $30.00, so I can have TV, computer, tablet and phone. Generally, I watch at home on TV, so I'm looking forward to be able to whip out the 'ol iPad at school and catch games... um, not during class. I would never do that!

Generally speaking, they said they also inform you of the team blackouts. Since I live in the Pacers' market, I will be able to get the Bulls games. However, and this I found very interesting, since Indianapolis does not have a pro baseball or hockey team, the Hawks, Cubs and White Sox are actually blacked out here, on the league packages, since they are "regional." Doesn't make any sense, but I'm glad the Pacers exist, so I can watch the Bulls.

Hope they stay in business. Looks like a class act.

In case anyone from the NBA is reading this, I'll probably drop cable and then just sadly not watch NBA anymore if the Bulls don't go to the finals this year. Why? Because cable TV absolutely sucks to have in your home. The advertising and poor programming kills the human soul. Sure there are a handful of excellent shows along with NBA, but I can watch those in legit ways without watching ads.

Can you get around the NBA League Pass blackouts with Hola Better Internet extension? I don't know why this has to be so damn difficult. I'm a Bulls fan in Chicago and I don't have cable or want cable. Give me a legal option to watch games bozos.

Longtime lurker; thought I'd chime in on Ballstream. Max quality is 720p and 60fps generally, you can watch any team live and they're instantly archived for replays after the game as well. Unlike LeaguePass, they broadcast the pregame/halftime shows and you can switch the broadcasts (home/away) whenever. It's fairly reliable and I haven't had any issues at all with blackouts. They just increased the price the price by $10, so now it's $99 for a year -- but in the options, you're able to freeze your account whenever. So after playoff time, you can freeze your account until the next season starts so you'll have an extra 3 or so months covered.

As for those worrying about it getting shut down, I've read that Ballstream is based within the Netherlands so they operate outside of the US' jurisdiction. Also, their hockey site has been running for a solid 5 years.

If you're willing to take a risk, it's a great alternative! (:

Edit: You can also stream multiple games on different devices on your house and on the same network (iPhone, PS4, etc) at the same time. However, it's IP-based. So you can't share an account with a buddy and both be on at the same time.
